As stated in this video, you can really add whenever you want and make this your own. :) Add different vegetables, bacon, sausage, cheese, or no cheese, whatever you like. Also, thank you to those who made me aware mushrooms can be grown in manure😵💫😂 I might have to redact that statement about cleaning them with just a napkin lol.

My mom being Sicilian and an observant Catholic, meat was off the table on Fridays! This was a Friday night menu option and we looked forward to it. Only difference is, she made hand cut french fries instead of boiled potatoes. As far as ketchup goes, if diners didn't have ketchup on the table for the breakfast rush, they'd be out of business! I wonder how this would come out using egg whites? Anyhoo, well done, as usual!

Bethany, It sounds like your mom really knows her stuff? Is she an accomplished chef? Adding water to the eggs produces steam which makes the eggs scramble lighter and fluffier. Great job on the egg bake! I would have to add some of my homemade Italian sausage to it.

One way--and probably the best way--to add more flavor to the potatoes is to fry them first. It's like the equivalence to searing meat before adding it to a recipe.

Hi Bethany Like a night in shinning armour to the rescue again, (i kid you not) This Sunday the family are all meeting here and were going to a giant car boot sale (not sure what there called there) to which i offered everyone Brunch before we go. Your words prepared before hand made me smile, as a full English breakfast here has to be made at the time. This will defiantly keep all happy and i will serve it with French toast, tea and fresh coffee. Never added water to my eggs before so this should be interesting. Not quite sure the English palate is ready for Hot Sauce with this, but i shall offer it. Will let you know how it goes down Sunday/Monday Chris (In UK) PS - What did the tired omelette say? “I’m egg-hausted”
@Asimplepalate4 ай бұрын
Wow, I'm thrilled with the timing of this all. :) I have always wanted a true English breakfast, which sounds wonderful. And add whatever you like to the egg bake! No pressure on serving it with hot sauce. I personally don't like spicy stuff, but I enjoy a dab of it with the eggs! Lol love the jokes week after week😂

@@Asimplepalate Hi Bethany Well Sunday was a little bit busier than i thought, but luckily i made double as you won't believe how much the men in our house eat, and i thought a few more would turn up. As always your dish went down amazingly with several bits of paper being given out for your website. Now one thing i did buy which i do not have was a hot sauce called Siracha, as the net said its a good one. I will admit i did not open it just placed it on the table, OMG, people looked at it, tried a little bit, and shall we say there is only half a bottle left !!! What you need to understand is us brits don't do hot sauce and never on a breakfast dish, it seems 'We do now' By the way i should learn to trust you more by now, i was a bit concerned about adding water to the eggs, buy oh my gosh it works, i was shocked. Thanks for this great dish, you did it again lady. Chris (In UK)
