As I have gotten older I have had to cut back on the Christmas decor, but that is okay. It has been a rough week so today I decided I needed to do something that would make me happy. My husband was a good sport and climbed into the attic to get out our artificial tree and the box of ornaments. It is early for our family to decorate but I don’t care! My little tree is traditional, lots of ornaments with memories. This afternoon when the darkness comes to our northern Wisconsin home I will have Christmas lights. That makes me so happy! I appreciate all your hard work and your creativity. Thanks.

I'm younger, but I know how you feel about cutting back on decor. However I feel tired because I'm the only girl in my family, and many family members have died so everything is on me and all my family! So it's really tough on me and I have thyroid disease as well so I get tired. I have to clean my carpet and after it's dry I can start decorating for Christmas ⛄🎄

I love that you don't lay it out all first and know where everything is going. I love the real of it, it shows that yes something may look good in your head but not so much put together and that you may have to play around with things to get your vison out. The real factor you have it what makes your videos stand out! Plus it is how I decorate so it just feels right. 🙂

I’m sooooo excited and ready for Christmas! I made our Christmas cards in July, addressed the envelopes. Waited till last week to add stamps and seal envelopes (in case of changes.) Just finished wrapping all gifts and stocking stuffers. My goal every year is to have everything done by Thanksgiving so I can relax, bake and watch Hallmark movies all December! At 69, I’m too old to have the stress of trying to do it all in December. ❤️🎄🧑🏻‍🎄

Christmas kittens!!! That sounds so wonderful, As always, it is all just lovely. My home is so much more modest than yours so my decorations are also more modest. When my hubby and I married eons ago, we inherited his parents and grandparents decorations. Some old Victorian and others just old Shiny Brights with some sweet handmade/handpainted from the village church bazaar. The result is that nothing matches anything else and I would not change a thing.

My decorating is finished, I only have 2 trees a 7 1/2 ft. And a smaller tree, lots of Department 56 Snow Village houses, wreaths on all outer doors, a lighted garland around the front door, that’s it. But it took me almost a week! Happy Holidays!

I've been watching so many decorate with me video's, and I do like the country rustic look with white's n beige but, come on!! Every single one I've watched have been those colors.. Looks absolutely beautiful! I have so many nostalgic pieces of Christmas decor passed on from many generations. I feel the need to put them all out every Christmas , but feel like it gets to cluttered ?! Does anyone else have this issue ?! I also get a real tree every year, but we could never do a themed tree because of all the memory ornaments we put on the tree lol.

Gorgeous house! Flocking is usually pretty toxic to kitties but they loooooove eating it 🤦🏼‍♀️ if you dilute a few drops of orange/tangerine essential oil in some water and spritz the tree with a misting bottle, it keeps naughty kitties from eating it. Might need a refresh here and there, but it works on mine 🤗💖

My cat does the same thing Enzo did! She pretends she’s “snuggling” the tree but then takes a huge chomp of the branches lol. I am NEARLY done decorating- just a few tiny little additions that I’m on the hunt for. My husband and I do ministry in Chicagoland so I’m really excited to spend it with the people we serve and the team we serve alongside. It’s going to be really special to have Christmas with them!
