It's that time of year again - CHRISTMAS AT THE CHATEAU has begun! Happy Advent!
Here is the twelfth video in our daily Advent Calendar series. Each day will bring a different surprise - but you can expect a mixture of exuberant decorations, seasonal florals, delicious food, gift ideas, musical treats and even a little Christmas carpentry...

They are available at €5 per image, or €10 for four colours.
I had hoped to have the papers printed in order to sell them ready-made, but with all of the Covid postal delays that's proved impossible. I had mine printed by Zazzle, and scaled the pattern up online so that I have both regular and large scale versions here for Christmas. You're all welcome to do the same in order to have large rolls made, or to simply print them on your home printers for very small parcels! But please only use them for private (not commercial) use.

Ugh how is it that people still think you have to be married or in a relationship. I’m a doctor of psychology and the shame that is imposed on people for not being attached to someone else is horrific. People spend a quarter of their lives searching for someone that doesn’t exist snd the rest of their life regretting all the others things they missed out on. Happily many very fine people don’t need to find others to define their life purpose. My parents raised us to know that not all people are called to be married and that great peop,e often achieve because they are able to dedicate their lives to other causes and goals. These are gifted people here who are seeking something more in life,

Mandy I totally feel your fear of Santa.. When I was a child the "Christkindl" (like an angel of Christ) would visit us completely dressed in white and I was scared to death 😂😳 mostly it was my godfather who did it. As I'm alone, in lockdown, my tradition of going to the Ballroom for dance on Christmas and New Year's Eve. We dress up, bring champagne and enjoy snacks, I will miss this so much this year.

That sounds a lovely way of spending Christmas at a ballroom Beverley! You'll be able to do it next year. We will be out of this pandemic soon. Why not go for a long walk early on Christmas Day, come back and snuggle with a blanket eating nice things while watching movies /ringing friends/relatives? That's what I'm planning. Oh my goodness!! The LEGO!! I have bought my 8 ye old daughter Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle for Christmas!! It will take all year to build 🥳😅🙂😳.. the cream.. me too .. it's the best thing to have an island of Christmas pudding in a lake of double cream ❣️❣️!!! I will be alone over Christmas seeing as I have guests in my Air Bnb cottage on my little farm over Christmas and I won't be able to travel to the family. My Belgian mum made them following from her Dutch/French heritage...that Christmas although I hear Cat - we did Midnight Mass - but Then Nate - we have Christmas when its summer - BBQ's in Oz - love how so many people have different exp! Oh, I LOVE Christmas in New York! The best part for me is always the Rockettes and the tree and angels beautifully lit up. St. Patrick's Cathedral for a quiet contemplative rest. Times Square, so full of energy. And the shopping! Best memories ever! 🎄❤
