It's that time of year again - CHRISTMAS AT THE CHATEAU has begun! Happy Advent!
Here is the fifteenth video in our daily Advent Calendar series. Each day will bring a different surprise - but you can expect a mixture of exuberant decorations, seasonal florals, delicious food, gift ideas, musical treats and even a little Christmas carpentry...

They are available at €5 per image, or €10 for five colours.
I had hoped to have the papers printed in order to sell them ready-made, but with all of the Covid postal delays that's proved impossible. I had mine printed by Zazzle, and scaled the pattern up online so that I have both regular and large scale versions here for Christmas. You're all welcome to do the same in order to have large rolls made, or to simply print them on your home printers for very small parcels! But please only use them for private (not commercial) use.

I grew up in a family where my mother was a stickler for displaying 'things' with a story behind them. Today I have some of those 'things' and am grateful for the stories. Another reply from Canada. We anticipate a full lockdown in my city by the end of the week. I have cancelled two luncheons and other plans made are being tweaked. Don't know how or when I started doing floral arrangements, just started with "filler" in a vase or bowl and then began adding whatever flowers were on hand. Was emboldened when living in Upstate NY since the roadside weeds and wild flowers were in such abundance - and free! No waste, and "mistakes" were quickly forgiven and corrected. Half the battle was the security of abundance and not worrying about doing it "wrong".

I so agree, I have always loved setting my dining room table for special occasions. Adding flowers and bringing out all of the little 'extras' (like my crystal knife holders that look like bones). Me too and rather miss it in my life now...at least on a grand scale. Table for one most of the time just doesn't cut it. I still use some lovely pieces just for me though. I'm looking forward to going to my youngest daughters for Christmas. I'm taking my box of silverware and have the fun job of settling the table on December 24th with my Granddaughter.
