It's that time of year again - CHRISTMAS AT THE CHATEAU has begun! Happy Advent!
Here is the sixth video in our daily Advent Calendar series. Each day will bring a different surprise - but you can expect a mixture of exuberant decorations, seasonal florals, delicious food, gift ideas, musical treats and even a little Christmas carpentry...

They are available at €5 per image, or €10 for four colours.
I had hoped to have the papers printed in order to sell them ready-made, but with all of the Covid postal delays that's proved impossible. I had mine printed by Zazzle, and scaled the pattern up online so that I have both regular and large scale versions here for Christmas. You're all welcome to do the same in order to have large rolls made, or to simply print them on your home printers for very small parcels! But please only use them for private (not commercial) use.

Stephanie, I've heard you say many times you do read all the comments, so I'm taking you at your word on that. I want to thank you for several things, not the least of which is being my inspiration for Christmas gifts. My niece is in England for Christmas, and I've been able to order and ship to her a gown from One Hundred Stars (with the map of London on it, of course!) and just today I also ordered the gin making kit. I have to believe that'll be a huge hit with her and the cousins with whom she is staying. My family does enjoy a party.... The dance Philip was doing was a mix of the Charleston in the 1920s in America and the 'Mash Potatoe' that was in the '1960s in America. They were very popular dances. Stephanie was dressed just like they did in the Roaring 20's! I was not alive than of course but just know about it. The Mash Potatoe in the 60's and the' Charleston' were much alike and never realized that until seeing the Mash Potatoes again and thinking of Stephanie dressed and dancing like in the roaring 20's. It was 'such fun' and you really are making this Chateau a beautiful home!

Ooh I love Butterfly Pea Flower! It's actually a popular herbal medicine here in the Philippines and it's great for so many things. My mom drinks it regularly to control her migraines and it's working for her. It grows so easily too and the flowers look amazing like it's magical or something. What a lovely episode! I look forward to the next advent video everyday :) We make a similar color changing simple syrup with violets every spring here in Wisconsin. It is so exciting to go from small purple flowers to magical pink cocktails each spring. A real treat and suprisingly easy to make. Not sure if France has wild violets but they are very easy to grow, in case you cannot get butterfly sweatpea flowers to bloom.
