Do not get carried away with peacock envy. Pretty but very loud and when they climb on your car roof it gets badly scratched and pooped on. Chateau de LaLande itself is wow bur it takes loads of people to restore and run. The scale is overwhelming. Nice to see our favorite influencer all dressed up!

The intensity of the music while you were lost in the woods was absolutely amazing. It reminded me of some of an Agatha Christie mystery. There was so much talent at the Château. Anna, your color sense is really refined, and no, not too much green. Beautiful, calming, silvery, understated greens (and blues) offset by white . It's so cool to see passionate people renovating and taking care of these amazing pieces of cultural heritage! Stephanie does some of that but she films a lot of things of other things as well, history, music, costumes, animals, culture, food, dancing, and communal living. This irritates the people who only want to watch renovation projects.

I think Stephanie doesn't do a great job of explaining where her KZbin/patreon/B&B/London flat/South African house/Southern France apartment income goes. Patreon being the most important as it's donations, and a very large income. There's obviously big projects being done, but also big projects seemingly unfinished. It's almost May, and we've seen almost nothing happening as far as renovating goes thus year. And just in patreon money she's received $120,000 or so. I definitely have sympathy for her. A degree of fame and basically free money is hard to deal with. I used to work in media and knew famous people. It can really screw you up if you're not prepared for it.

I remember, Stephanie said in one of her vlogs, that what she instantly fell in love with, was the surrounding area, because the placement of the Chateau was the one thing, that could not be changed. And it does look really wonderfull, with the forrests, the fields and the soon-to-return lake. But I will say, I would much prefer the smaller footprint and style of your Chateau. You have done a great job, restoring Honfleur. Where it me, I would probably go alot heavier on antiques, but I love, that all your rooms are so bright and airy 😁

Both Chateaux have their pros and cons. For Lalanda, the size of the chateau and the grounds are amazing. And the region has more often better weather. Le Fleur is a pretty little chateau and the outbuildings will be beautiful once restored. I prefer the interior design of LeFleur but that is a personal preference. The location of the chateau is a big plus, much closer to interesting places to visit. Both chateaux deserve a lot of credit for the restorations.
