I've been told from more than one source over the years, a large part of funds was set aside for a retirement fund for the minsters. Because HWA and many thought the end was end and never bothered to setup an pension fund, IRA or 401k. Not all minsters got any but a many did/have.

Due to the receivership the construct of the church was changed into Herbert W Armstrong Corporation sole and his successors. So when Herbert died, all of the assets went to the Tkatchs. Hundreds of millions of dollars worth of assets I might add.

God allowed that to happen,@@ChristianRescue in order to test those in the body, and to separate out those who stood on the truth of His word, and those who stood on the truth of Joseph W. Tkach's word. Just as the apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 11:18-19, "First of all, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. 19 And indeed, there MUST be differences among you to SHOW which of you are approved." It's allllll a test and God needed to know, so, He either allowed it, or caused it to happen. And as Luke wrote in 12:51 " 51 Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. 52 For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. 53 Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.” And this continues to happen, doesn't it?

Also, I remember back in 1985 in one of HWA's last tape messages, that can not see the world going beyond 1996. I remember that well. Did it happen? I don't think so. And before I joined WCG, many said 1975 was the end. Look what happened.

Well, HWA was in good company,@@b5kalad because the apostle Paul thought Christ was returning in HIS lifetime, so, I wouldn't make too much of that. Actually, the second after we die, we're in the 1st Resurrection, so, in that way each of us meets Christ when we die, and not in heaven strumming on harps forever, either.

This message is full of false dichotomies. He craftily inserts and/or exchanges various words whereby the conclusion doesn’t reflect the qualifying verbiage. For example, using the term “Old Covenant Sabbath” for the purpose of saying that we’re no longer burdened by various restrictions -is to conflate the Oral Melacha, with the written word. Yes, Jesus set many things straight, but not so far as true Saints had ALWAYS kept it. Instead, His Sabbath contention was exclusively with those who weren’t even following Scripture. Later codified in the Talmud, the Jews had an entirely different religion that was falsely attributed to Moses. Yet, not once does Tkach even acknowledge that. Keeping the 4th Commandment, as written, is not a strict taboo.

Well, if you read that entire section, it clearly points to the Beast that comes after satan tries to take over heaven once more fails, and is thrown back down to earth, then, all Gahenna breaks loose! Tkach was not him, but he was used to help divide the goats from the sheep. The goats left with him, and the sheep stayed in the fold. Just like Paul stated in I Cor. 11:18 & 19 "First of all, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. 19And indeed, there must be differences among you to show which of you are approved." Now God knows who are His.

looking back Mr Tkach was a big imptovement over HWA but you can see him here still trying to hang on to some law keeping and not fully embracing the message of Grace Eph 2:8-9 Read it. Believe it. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Still the emphasis to obey at (48:33) so you legalist should not be to upset with Tkach over your beloved HWA (52:39) It seems he believes you can lose your salvation no different than Ray Comfort, Paul Washer John McArthur all the rest of those wolves. So HWA baptized drunkards(54:45)new covenant has new laws?(1:19:47) No, he's stretching things now with this "some laws still in effect" No Mr Tkach you are not making it clear ... Rom4:3-8 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. he brings up tithing then its whiplash back to a full throated declaration that the law cannot save from sin(1:28:11)This is what the church needed to hear. It took over an hour to get here but kudos for helping a church full of people who thought they were special because they kept the law and Sabbath find grace, and I was one of them. (1:33:11) yes now those passages in Romans are plain Mr Tkach. Over all a good message for a tough crowd.Watching this reminds me time goes by fast. It's 2024, is this the year Christ returns? It's time to believe the good news of 1cor15:1-4 The death burial and resurrection of Jesus is everything. Personal behaviour is not your saviour.If its work you really want to do maybe follow this principle Jn6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. And it will take work because you are surrounded by religions that tell you to be a good person including Christian Cults. Jesus will tell you trust in the sufficiency of the cross. Humbly accept the free gift of life.When you are motivated to a good work, great, just remember who gets the credit.God bless those who seek the truth.Seek and you shall find...
