Reaching out to God is something I did at one point in my life and he helped me gain the strength I needed to get through one of the toughest moments in my life. I do believe reaching out to God on your own will work. Not right away but Rome wasn't built in a day either. I will never stop being thankful.

wow. thank you for sharing the devotion you read. it actually really helped. I'm very involved in my church, i work full time, I have a wonderful husband who is my love and my best friend...yet I have been feeling so empty and just..unmotivated, not necessarily sad..but BORED and over it all.. anyway..I was at church this morning and I felt the Lord speak to my heart, that I need to communicate with Him more..that He would provide what I was missing. 15 years walking with the Lord, I have been since I was 18..and God still has to remind me to communicate with Him, to stay close to Him every day, all the time. you just confirmed His instructions to me..thank you for sharing , its helped more than you know :)

Your message about feeling empty, ohh you spoke to me. A few weeks ago i was feeling like working in new york city was just something im not prepared to do. I am a small town girl from the philippines, just migrated here a few months ago and has to work two jobs to earn a decent living. That day everything was not working well. From forgetting my train ticket and my purse to not having things done at work to having to walk from the train station to my home because i have no money left. Then out of the woods this medium sized buck just walked, crossed the street and was walking past me. I swear i was crying on the rest of the way home. That made my day!

im not christian, but i do agree with everything you said about God filling that empty void. I feel like there are so many lost souls, if you will, out there. and that they choose to fill their void with social media, alcohol, fake friends, drugs...etc. things that would give them instant gratification. but i feel like when you work to make a relationship with God through prayer or serving His people, you slowly fill that void and then dont even notice when it went away.

As a Christian who attends church every Sunday morning and attends Christian school I have realized far too many you tubers are afraid to mention God in any of their videos. Jessica, you are doing Christianity right. I wish I knew you personally because you (and Tyler for that matter) seem like you are truly Christ-like Christians, and that is so rare. I wish I knew you personally. You are absolutely right about people of all faiths being able to take away a universal message from the devotional that you referenced. It doesn't matter if you fill your emptiness with God, or (like me... as an Atheist) just selflessly doing a nice thing for another person, or getting out and seeking calmness in nature and contemplating your gratitude for the positive things in your life (this is so immensely therapeutic). When I do these things, I feel, what I can only imagine, is the feeling you get from prayer. You are a great role model.

Think it is hard to grab a nap with a dog around try it with 5 boys. It is exhausting but so worth it in the long run. Love the videos and the fact that you mentioned how finding the Lord can help with so many things. I use Sonia kashuk brushes and they are really nice but they only sell them at target or online. Or another good brush company is real techniques that I also use. I here morphe has some good brushes but I've never used them personally.
