Wow! I'm 63 and would LOVE to have seen those lights in person. Bless y'all Tom and what a good answer to the kids. "She's kind of our angel!" A friend of mine put this epitaph on her Mama's grave. It reads: "Although she had no silken wings, nor halo made of gold. All the love within her heart, was all an angel heart could hold." Andrea left you nine gifts and you're doing a good job daddy. The Lord hasn't forsaken you. Touch your heart and there He is.❤️

I stumbled across your channel after your wife had died. My heart goes out to you and the kids. I have not lost a spouse but we had a 18 year old who died of a massive heart attack and drowned on July 29th, 2000 at a church outing at a lake in Oregon. The first Christmas I had such insane pain. I hear your tears and I am praying the Lord just holds you all in His arms through all of this and you and the kids feel his heart beating as he holds all of you so close!

Tom, one month before my husband died he tweeted “ Just promise me you’ll think of me every time you look up in the sky and see a star”. We had that written on his headstone. And I do just that, think of him when I see the stars. You’re an extraordinary dad!! God bless your sweet family💗

😞💔 I’m sorry those lights were so hard. Christmas is naturally really tough on grieving hearts, but with all that Andrea poured into it, I’m sure it’s making her absence flat out brutal. Be gentle with yourself, brother.

Thank you for taking us with you to see the pretty Christmas lights. I'm 66 and I still remember as a little girl my daddy loading us up to drive around to see Christmas lights! So, Tom, your little ones will always remember you driving them to see the lights! I read something the other day that made me think of you. It said, "Grief is the last act of love we have to give those we loved. Where there is deep grief, there was great love." I think that is a beautiful way of understanding the levels we go through in the brokenness and lonliness of losing our loved one. Thinking of you and the children this Christmas season.❤🙏

This had to be so hard for you Tom. Just remember you and the kids need this. It will keep all the memories of Andrea strong. Also making new memories with you. My kids were young when they lost their daddy to brain cancer. It was hard to keep traditions going but we did. Ten years later and those happy memories they had with us as a family are still strong.

Just as the season that reminds me of life long hurts and pain begins, ĢOD has given me a new joy to concentrate on. I AM GOING TO BE A GRANDMA! Did not think this would ever happen, but left in HIS hands, a miracle!!! I believe one Christmas you will see the lights and smile, not this one, maybe not the next, but one. Always loved going out to see the Christmas lights. Most of the houses and churches were lit up. My Mom and us 8 kids would go caroling. Such good memories! Merry Christmas to all!

Was feeling sad watching the drive through the lights...it made me remember last year's video of the lights, and made me think of Andrea. This time of year is extra tough when missing a loved one...will continue praying for you all as you move through the holiday season. Loved seeing all the kids shopping with you, and helping pick out smells and cookies. You can tell they really enjoyed it, and they felt important helping. Hannah was too cute, as always, but especially saying her name in roll call and "yuck" when smelling candles. 😊

I always enjoy your shopping trips to Walmart, but I really love it when the kids go too. I wish we could've seen you all out to dinner. No matter what the occasion was my kids always picked McDonald's. lol I thought I heard you crying as you looked at the lights, and my heart broke for you. That’s probably why it was so tough for him. We have a great Christmas display near where I live. My mom would make a special trip each year so I could take her. I always think of her when I go. The first year was rough. Still can’t watch The Polar Express though.

Life with kids is summed up in the wax smelling clip! My kids are just the same! Momma momma smell this! No smell this one!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Each day with my kids dad no longer with us, I have found my joy in them! They still need us and we take it one day at a time! This will be our 3rd Christmas without him, it’s hard, but we find the things he loved and we smile!!! ❤️
