I have most of my decor put up. We don’t do Christmas gifts in my family anymore. As we got older it got way too expensive and as adults we don’t need anything. I’ve always preferred celebrating our own birthdays. Christmas is way too commercialized. All of your decor looks amazing! I used to do so much myself in my home. I too am older and now have found people to do what I want to do for me, when the project is too much. A couple of years ago I started having problems with my hip and had to ask for more help, or give up things that I enjoyed doing. (In some ways this was a good thing as I could be overly ambitious!) I had a hip replacement 2 weeks ago and I'm probably not going to do much more than buy a few pointsettias, but I as I am watching your video, I am thinking about next year and being back in the game! Everything in your home is just lovely!!!

Just bought a brand new washer and dryer from Home Depot a few weeks ago. We lived in a condo and we had shared laundry. We've moved to a townhouse so it's the first time in 33 years of being married. I've owned my own washer and dryer magnificent. It was Home Depot. They set it up. The two gentlemen were wonderful and it was free delivery because it was a Christmas special

First of all, you have transformed the HOUSE into a HOME and its BEAUTIFUL!! Bottle up your energy and talent and sell it to all of us! For upcoming projects....i vote: Laundry room, then bathroom then kitchen (as its most expensive for everyday ppl). Laundry room makeovers are very popular as you can do big changes for pennies. I also would suggest painting the white trim around the black doors to black so it all looks like one unit. Seeing black to white then the wall color is busy. 2 colors vs the 3 would flow seamlessly. We saw so many homes with that big clunky wall shelving? when we were looking at homes. They took up an even bigger wall than yours! We are older and no longer able to DIY a new wall, so we passed up many houses for that reason . As you say, "What was the builder thinking". Your new home is lovely and decorated "to the nines"! 😊 I haven't been able to decorate for several years now because everything was in storage. We will move i n 2025, so I will finally get to decorate our new home. Have thrifted so many wonderful things that I can't wait to see it all come together. We bought one of Home Depot’s large Santas a few years ago, too. He is so cute. We were also surprised he was less than $40. I agree with you that the built-in in your family room is a head scratcher. Almost anything would be an improvement, and I’m sure that you will come up with something good.

You have so much to do. House looks beautiful...Rule in our house, 'if you mess it up, you clean it up." The kids also had to clean up after their friends. Dishes in the dishwasher. 'M' is for Mom, not maid. They can replace pillows, fold up their blankets, and help keep the house neat and clean. They are teens, not toddlers but even our toddlers learned to pick up their toys. I vote for you to do the family room next. It's so high-vis as part of your kitchen and will have a big impact on your everyday life. My decorating and shopping are done. I have one thing left to wrap, and some card and gift deliveries. Today I did some holiday food and dessert for the freezer. One more baking day should do it, and I'll be all done!

The sectional is really fine. You just need to give it a face lift with batting and stuffing in the back cushions. I buy the cheap standard size bed pillows from Walmart and use them for stuffing. If those cushions have down in them put the stuffing around the down insert. Also I used to take off my seat cushion covers and wash them in the washer. No dryer. Just put them on damp and let them air dry. The sectional will look brand new.

Love the chair in the bedroom. After the holidays I think you need to purchase one for there permanently. The tree in the bedroom looks beautiful. Love the prints you hung. and the two small trees for the family room. Everything looks beautiful. As far as what room to do next, I suggest you do the room you feel needs to be done the most. I would definitely get rid of the big box thing in the family room. It looks terrible with all those wires hanging out. What were they thinking when they built it. Your house is beautiful. I think you could put big battery operated candles in the bottom of that entertainment center that looks like it should be a fireplace. For the couch, maybe you could put some more stuffing in the pillows and get bigger pillows to go in front of those so that you don’t sit so far back.
