We were just at the Place des Abbesses last night since we are staying at a hotel down the street. We have been here since Monday and we went to quite a few places you have recommended and showcased in other videos. Thank you so much for doing the work. We are currently in Paris and have visited three Christmas markets this week. We liked the big La Défense market the most, with the Tuileries market too. The Hôtel de Ville market was very small but we visited the BHV department store next door and it was beautifully decorated. If you plan to go to the Notre Dame market, be aware it closes before 5 pm. Colleen, you are correct that the nougat is expensive (69 euro per kg). We left with 55 euros worth of assorted nougat and don’t regret it. The hot churros were delicious as was the tartiflette. We essentially ate our way across Paris!.

Trivia moment: The Ferris Wheel was introduced in at the Chicago World's Fair to out-Eiffel the Eiffel Tower unveiled at the Paris World's Fair a few years earlier. It was huge, 250 feet in diameter with 36 gondolas holding 60 people each.
