This poor little guy must of been abandoned, he was too friendly to be a stray. Thank goodness that sewage company was there, I would hate to think if they weren't there at the right time and place what would of happen to Beethoven. Two days ago a neighbor abandoned his indoor cat in the breezeway of the apartments and moved to a different state. I took him in but as I already have too many cat was going to take him to the humane society in a few days (a sixty mile round trip). He hissed at me but never made any attempt at biting or clawing me...was just terrified of being alone and outside for the first time. I talked to everyone I came into contact with over the next few days and a cashier at a one-stop said she would take it but wanted to know if he was friendly. I said that I don't know, he is hiding under a dresser and won't come out. She wanted three days to prepare for it and over these last few days I have been pulling him out from his hiding place and forcing him to sit on my lap while I pet him, As soon as I let go he just jumps down and hides again, so I decided that I would have to tell the lady that the cat is not friendly and is showing no signs of being sociable. Well...persistence paid off tonight when the poor little thing started purring and stayed on my lap after I let go, and I have even got him to play with a string. He cant get enough of playing. I am so happy now that I can give the cat to a nice cat-lady and he will have a loving home.

I often think about these guys when I'm on the streets driving and what they must go through. Whenever I see an animal on the street hit by a car or something, I always circle back to check on it. Sometimes they are just injured and not dead. We all need to start respecting these little creatures a bit more. All lives matter. Thank you HOPE FOR PAWS. You are fantastic.

Most of the animals I find in the streets are dead. I pick them up and they get buried with the rest of my cats who’ve died. I want to be able to owe the house I live in to not have them separated from me. Currently it’s my parents but when they move I’ll tale care of it. I don’t know how people can’t just see where they drive if they don’t know how to be cautious of an animal on the street don’t drive.
