I was holding my breath up until both dogs were inside the cage. That was the start of a new life for them. Thanks much to the couple who did their best to feed the dogs and befriend them and doing the right thing of calling Eldad to rescue the dogs. They surely could not allow both dogs to continue living in the deserts where they were exposed to hunger, thirst, and all the harms and danger. Bless their hearts! I am hopeful that these little family will find a human family who will adopt them both so that they will be together forever and living the life that dogs deserve.

It really saddens and angers me that so many wonderful animals get dumped without a second thought by truly soulless people. Thank God there are so many good people who know how wrong this is, and they reach out to their local rescues to save these precious lives. There are beautiful, loving pets facing certain immediate death in shelters who need your help, too. I wish more people would step up for the voiceless victims of this world. Foster, adopt, rescue. Don't shop! Your help is desperately needed and the love you get as a thank you in return will change your life for the better. Thank you, Hope for Paws, and all rescues out there, who make it their daily mission to save precious lives. And thanks to all the donors and supporters who make rescue possible. Four legged lives matter! Phryne and Essie are beautiful and will make wonderful pets for some lucky people!

For anyone who thinks the rescuers should have tried to get the dogs to trust them instead of snaring them and did not read the video description, the rescuers can't always take that amount of time because there are so many other animals that need to be rescued. Zach and Katherine, even with repeatedly feeding them still had not gained their full trust, Eldad and the other rescuers wouldn't have been able to gain their full trust either in a short amount of time. Eldad used to spend a great deal of time gaining an animal's trust instead of using the snare and still does when possible, but he realized that with so many animals needing to be rescued it is better to cause a few minutes of stress with the snare and quickly catch the animal(s) so they can move onto the next rescues. The rescuers did a great job with Phryne and Essie. I hope mother and daughter are able to be adopted together or at least be able to visit each other if adopted separately. Many thanks to Zach and Katherine for their help.

Well said! I’ve seen so many “animals rescue videos” available on internet from many different organizations around the world, and I absolutely can tell you that HOPE FOR PAWS is one of the best, if not the very best of the best animal rescue organizations in the world with the methods it uses as well as systematic care networks it has established with veterinary clinic and fostering facilities to place all their rescued animals in the best hands as quickly as possible, so the amount of the stresses on each animal is very limited and recovery time is surprisingly quick led to positive result as well. I’d like to also mention that each member of rescue teams of HOPE FOR PAWS is all compassionate, has strong ethical sense, patience, and knowledge and experience needed for physically exhausting and emotionally draining rescue efforts every single day and night. That’s why I respect ✊ them and love ❤️ and trust all of them very much. Thank you HOPE FOR PAWS 🐾!!

I feel you!! My elderly neighbor passed away last year and I had no idea he was feeding a colony of feral mommas. 5 very pregnant feral mommas came over to my house looking for food. My husband begged me not to feed them. Oh well
@hazevthewolf1783 жыл бұрын
You won't like what I am about to say, but please don't feed stray cats. In the long run, you aren't really doing them a favour. Over the last several years, one of my neighbours fed stray cats and the result was a large colony of feral cats that converged on my yard, since I don't have a dog. I live on a rather busy street. I've peeled several dead cats off the asphalt in front of my house and given them a kitty funeral in my back yard. Recently, one of my neighbours turned me into the police as a nuisance. I was able to get the cops off my back, by proving, with photos, that I wasn't the source of this problem. The original cat feeder has moved away and the number of ferals has fallen precipitously. The older ferals have moved on. Another one of my neigbhours seems to be making sporadic attempts to feed the remaining ferals, but I'm going to deal with that. The neighbours and I will have that little talk. I'll buy a cat trap, if I have to, to deal with the remaining ferals. My local animal control agency has a drop off programme. I wish it it did TNR, but the agency here in my backwater location in California is a notorious kill shelter, Kitty Auschwitz. Keep on feeding strays, if you must. Most of them will die a violent death by motor car or suffocation. There is a certain lore about the life of an alley cat, but I can assure you that it's all bullshit.
@TheRivrPrncess3 жыл бұрын
@@hazevthewolf178 You never let an animal that is obviously in need of food to go hungry. Feeding strays is okay as long as it is coupled with help from rescues that do TNR.

So sad thinking about their life. The desert is HARSH. Not only are temperatures already near 100 in that area, it gets up to 130; and the river is disgusting, plus every creature in the desert is poisonous. Snakes, Scorpions, Spiders... Of course there are also tons of coyotes. I bet they loved feeling that snow on their paws! 💚
@phedges64762 жыл бұрын
So??? The desert is nasty to some. I reside in Las Vegas NV and am not concerned about the possible threat of our desert pets (spiders, scorpions,etc). When is the last time a human died from a bite from a desert predator??? Don't get me wrong, it is always a blessing for the 4 legged furry animals to be rescued and on to a better life. ❤😉❤
@portlandsamber2 жыл бұрын
@@phedges6476 Are you familiar with the area where they were living? I am. My parents live out there and it's not suburbs like Las Vegas. However, just last week another mountain lion was trapped and killed in a Summerlin backyard so... Yes, if you live near the actual DESERT along the perimeter of LV, You'd probably have more desert threats. But cool. Sounds like you think they were living their best lives out there. Let's release your dog into the desert and see how it does. Somehow you decided to be offended over someone talking about "the desert" which you seem very protective of. Cool. Except I know EXACTLY what I'm talking about and you're just a weirdo trying to pick fights. Get a life, lady.

What a great tactical rescue operation, fantastic! Please don't worry about what people think. You are doing it the right way. Very experienced rescue with least amount of stress for dogs. There is no better way to do this. The dogs have no trust in humans, feral dogs, so this is the only way.
