As for being open on Christmas, that depends on where you are. In my market, most of the foreign restaurants are open. But that’s only about 25% of the restaurants I pick up from. Everything else is closed. Plus I’d rather spend Christmas with my family.

Well my day was good. Did dd in the morning/afternoon then did UE for afternoon/dinner hr. Was shocked that UE was giving promo money today. I think they had a issue because I should have maxed out but somehow they didn’t pay. Still made $170 for the day. Could have made more if I could have gotten out earlier. But the best was knowing McDonald’s here in town both stores were CLOSED. Got orders for them just said nope clicked X Moved on. Let some other clown accept it and see if they know what to do. The best was domino’s opened up Later on today. But yeah some other restaurants were open. Had a Mexican place, Chinese, denny, couple of mom/pop restaurants and Walgreens/cvs. So I thought it was going to be slow but I was wrong. But I did get one good shop/pay. Had 4pk of monster, Midol and VAGISIL. I was like WTF is this. Yeah I was this has to be interesting monster to stay up while needing the midol and vagisil to clean your kitty.

You got to pause your orders on doordash if you don't want to accept additional orders while at Walgreens otherwise you just destroy your acceptance rate. I'm a platinum driver with an 86% acceptance rate and I get great paying orders. Some of your behaviors and methods are gonna keep you just getting mostly junk. I average about $300/wk working 6-8 hrs part-time. Use hourly plus tips Sunday -Thursday. Do per order on Friday and Saturday. Just do everything you get while hourly. You should average $21-30/hr. On Friday and Saturday $40-75/hr, especially between 3-9pm. I work Peoria/Glendale and Surprise or North Phoenix/Paradise Valley

If you have it paused too long it ends your dash. I don't care what my acceptance rate is.

​@@AaronsGigPlatinum status allows you to turn it back on if you forget. It also allows you to schedule ahead of anyone for any amount of time. Entire blocks open 7 days out. Support also removes unfair ratings within 24 hours upon request as long as you say why you don't deserve the rating. Just watch the clock when you pause. You can turn it back on within 35 minutes. It's not hard. You can immediately re pause it for another 35 minutes. I'm telling you if you're never going to be platinum then you will never make any decent money with doordash.

Merry Christmas too by the way. Doordash cares a lot about the acceptance rate. Uber Eats doesn't care. At first it seems difficult to achieve the 70% acceptance rate but you'd be surprised how quickly you can reach it.
