I hate what the writers did to Pauline at the end. Wendy Richards was right - Pauline never would have remarried. I think that writers should listen to actors who have portrayed a character for so long; they really get to know the character because they've been walking around in their skin for so long.

I used to watch EastEnders every Sunday night, on our local public broadcasting station, until the funding ended, I just wish one of the many PBS stations would pick it up again.. It's been quite a few years. Watching this Christmas on the Square video is great. I remember a lot of the characters (good & bad), but some of the new people are equally as great as the long-time characters. Yup, I miss this show...

I don't think it was up to our local PBS stations but the BBC, who said "no more." All of the PBS stations ceased broadcasting it at the end of 2021. You can watch new episodes via Britbox. It's $7.49 per month and episodes are uploaded the same day they are broadcast in the UK.

Christmas 2002 was magical and depressing at the same time. Magical cuz Billy gave Little Mo a fairy tale like Christmas wedding she deserved after what Trevor put her through. And depressing cuz Jamie dies in the meantime. The ending of Christmas 2004 was sure depressing compared to the year before when Kat & Alfie finally got married after Alfie's little hiccup divorcing his ex-wife. Why is that not on here btw? Or even Christmas 2005 with Kat & Alfie leaving Walford? At least end this video on a cheerful note.
