Nice haul! I played the demo for Refantazio and I loved it and I can’t wait to play the full game. This year I got Stellar Blade, SMT 5: Vengeance, and Elden Ring. I just finished Final Fantasy 16 today, so I’m jumping into Stellar Blade next.

The artist for Soul Hackers 2 is Shirow Miwa, really good stuff, also worked on 7th Dragon for the 3DS and a RWBY manga. The main artist from Persona (and now Metaphor) is called Shigenori Soejima, he has some really cool artbooks from persona 3 onwards. I'd recommend looking at all their work.

Kind of intrigued by that Maps book. Back in November I got my brother's old Xbox One since he's never going to play it anymore (don't think it had even been turned on in 2 years considering all the updates I had to download). I haven't paid attention to Xbox in a decade. Then went to GameStop on Black Friday where they did a Buy2Get1Free on pre-owned games and Xbox One discs were very cheap. So my Christmas pick-ups were a bunch of pre-owned Xbox games that were like $5-$10 each with 1/3 free (one of my orders totaled to 15 games for $60). Made building up a library of games for my "new" console pretty affordable.

I got Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D on the Switch, and while the frame rate chugs a bit in towns, it still looks and runs great in the vast majority of instances. As you say, it’s an excellent game - my first time playing it and I’m having a blast 👌🏻

I'm so excited for you to play the Monster Hunter Stories games! I was watching someone play the first game for the first time and we talked about how it's like a Saturday Morning Cartoon. I just love that stuff. I don't care if it's for writing or not, it's just fun. I buy my own games all year and I'm not a huge holiday person so I didn't get anything game related. Though I did get something geek/nerd related: my older sister bought me the 2023 Ternage Mutant Ninja Turtles Anniversary 5 Movie Collection. It has all 3 live action movies, the CG movie from 2007, and apparently they made a TMNT vs Batman cartoon.

'Soul Hackers 2' and 'Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance' both look stunning on the PS5. I haven't played either of them, but if any of them have an auto battle function in the settings I would recommend using it if you still choose to play on the lighter difficulty mode (considering you choose to play them immediately after completing Metaphor ReFantazio, don't wanna see you burnt out in your 2025 videos 😁).

Astrobot, Dragon Age Veilguard, and Zelda Echoes of Wisdom. Played the first level of Astrobot which was perfection, Zelda I’ve finished the first dungeon and am very happy with it. But I’ve been gripped by Dragon Age Veilguard, it’s the exploration, loot and nice short quests/missions. Just perfect for me.

I got gifted tales of graces f as a preorder from VGP and the two games I picked up for myself were: YS 8 Lacrimosa of Dana, and Alliance Alive (Which this game in particular I wasn't too sure about) YS 8 is one that I do have for the Vita but never finished it, so I picked it up for the Switch.

Happy New Year Paige! I love this video!! You got some great games this year for Christmas! I also got some great games as well!! They are Saga Frontier Remastered and Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025 for Nintendo Switch, alongside two non games such as a Nintendo Switch Pro controller and a 256 GB micro sd card to expand storage on my Switch OLED. I have been playing Saga Frontier Remastered and it is really great!! (though I do miss the 16 bit hand drawn character sprites of the original. I am not a big fan of the mobile like character sprites in the remastered version, but overall it is still great so far!!). I play it every night and into the late nights, like until 2 am!! It is really fun and addictive!! But I have yet to play Pawapuro 2024. But I know I will love it because of it's fun gameplay and great and colorful graphics!! I am, after all, a massive Pawapuro fan!! For me, it was the best Christmas ever!! Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year!!

I didn't expect to like Dragon Quest Monsters. It didn't grab me at first. I played the demo then put it down for like a year. Then I bought it on sale and tried again. Once I played longer and started collecting monsters, I actually LOVED it. It's Stanley one of my favorite Dragon Quest games. The music, dialogue, characters, monsters.... I love it all. I really hope they keep making them! Phoenix Wright is sooooo good! I just played the first one and I love it.

Very curious to hear what you think about Dragon Quest Monsters. I enjoyed the DS games from what I played, and I've also been meaning to play the new one on Switch...I just heard it takes a really long time to beat so I've held off on picking it up 😅 Soul Hackers 2 is another I'm curious what you think. Another game I've held on picking up because I just don't know if it's for me. I haven't been able to get into the Monster Hunter series proper, but the Stories games look fantastic! Simplified Pokemon-type RPG with MH characters, can't beat it. Great haul of pickups! Soul Hackers 2 is the game that made the Press Turn system really click for me. Since then, I've appreciated every Persona and Megami Tensei game I've played even more. The mnster fusing is addicting, the gameplay loop is satisfying, the story is meh but the characters are vibrant and edgelordy in a fun way. I love Soul Hackers 2 haha Happy New Year!

Those are sweet. DQM can last you half a year if you enjoy post game and online. Full Body is the nice versioon of Cathrine, personaly I´m below par skiled at puzzle games was able to actualy play it, experiencing all the endings is planed for 2047, great game. I got Sega Genesis Collection for Christmas, having a good time reexperiening Shining Force. Nice video and gifts👍, thanks for sharing.

Been trying to spread the word. Gamers should check out their local/area libraries for game rentals. Many cities have vast collections of games (new included) to check out for free. Great way to try out games you weren't sure youd enjoy instead of paying for them. Side question. How are the maps for Final Fantasy 6 in that book? May cave digitally just for that on my upcoming playthrough.

Catherine is one of my favorite games of ALL. TIME. My channel name is a spoof off of the bar name, I got obsessed with VA Laura Bailey's work because of the game, fell in love with puzzle games, and appreciate the current Persona art direction so much more BECAUSE of Catherine. Full Body has a new character that is very hard to get without a guide, and the mew cutscenes are a little too PC but its still fantastic... just dont play online cuz that server is dead lol! Soul Hackers 2 was a dissappintment for me... I went hard to get the collector edition because i like the 3DS version so much... but the game is very repetative in story, gameplay, area design, etc.. It's not a BAD game at all-- just too low level for Atlus expectations. I also LOVE Ace Attorney-- they've ported almost all the games to switch-- I'm hoping for the ones stuck on 3DS! A whole lotta reading though... prepare your butts! I love how many Christmas games you got, that's like magic! I got a few games but half were repeats lolol. One close friend got me Yomawari though, and I know nothing about it, which is even better. Merry Christmas, Femtrooper! Thanks for so many years of entertainment! 🎉

So souls hackers is definitely the most controversial atlus game, haven’t played it my self yet , but I know it gets lots of hate. I was actually thinking getting into monster hunter series, and the game you show looks fun, might have to try that. And im sure you’ll love metaphor, I still haven’t finished it, cuz I take these games very slow lol, but I’m 80 hours in loving it.

Ooh yeah I don't know if I want to answer that. These are questions you shouldn't be asking. It's like a male vid & female came on a male Channel & asked if he's way handsome now then what he was. To be honest, I don't see females even making comments like you do here. I guess we like Double Standards. It's the same as me picking a female character in a game & everyone makes a huge fuss about it. Telling me why am I picking a female, I'm a male so I should be playing with only male characters. Then one my female friends picks a male character, I point it out right away because they aren't saying anything about it. So I am like how come you guys aren't complaining she's picking a male character. Their answer is well she's female so she's allowed taking who ever. I think regardless of male or female you should pick who ever you want in games.

My holiday season pick-ups were kind of nuts this year. Maybe bordering a bit on excessive, since I bought them all for myself, but I'm happy with them, and that's all that matters. Prior to Black Friday, I bought Animal Well and Pentiment on Switch, as well as Soul Hackers 2 and Tandem: A Tale of Shadows on PlayStation from VGP. For Black Friday, I got Rise of the Ronin, Final Fantasy XVI, and final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PlayStation, and the Atari 50th Anniversary Expanded Edition Steelbook on Switch. For Christmas (bought after the tax holiday started, with the intention of receiving them around Christmas day) I got Lords of the Fallen (2023), Resident Evil Revelations, Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, Sonic Superstars, Sonic Frontiers, and Under the Waves on PlayStation, as well as Harvestella on Switch, from PNP Games. Then, finally, for Boxing Day, I got Tales from Toyotoki: Arrival of the Witch, and WitchSpring R on PlayStation, and The Doinksoft Collection on Switch from Amazon, as well as the Bitmap Bureau Collection on Switch, and Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven on PlayStation from VGP. :)

All great games, tbh. I got a new computer and it makes me kinda sad that DQM Dark Prince is still expensive, i'd 100% double dip since i loved it so much on Switch despite the terrible performance.

I didn't get any games Christmas day. But i did get a best buy gift card and got 3 games. Mario Party Jamboree, Visions of Mana and Alan wake 2.

Soul hackers 2 is good but not great. The dungeons get repetitive really fast. It was removed from game pass, so I didn't finish it, waiting to find it really cheap.

Soul hackers 2... Character design, music, and gameplay are solid. Dungeon design is atrociously boring. Story has some super cliche moments. I stopped about 2/3 through.

Christmas is so much better when you're a kid. I grew up in the 80's & 90's. I used to get all sorts of toys & video games. It was very cool cuz I wouldn't get anything during the whole year so when you got video games once or twice a year, it was special. As an adult, you'll get stuff you really won't like such as socks, maybe a fancy shampoo or soaps, Underwear like a pack of them. The coolest thing you'll get is Cash in a Christmas card. I feel like there's no thought put into the gifts when they are getting you socks & whatever type of clothing.

SMT 4 is waaaaaaay better then SMT 5. I played SMT 5 when it came out. The story sucks, the characters are really lacking, the world is depressing and bare. I don't recommend it.

DQ monsters Dark Prince, story wise its ok. But exploration and gameplay is stellar. I wish modern mainline pokemon games had world map and dungeon layouts like this game. Mario & Luigi Brothership being long, according to "How Long to Beat" website its roughly 40 hours woah, and 55 hours to do everything. Didnt know it was _that_ long only played Monster Hunter Stories 2, story just eh but again the exploration and turn battle system is insanely good. Loved its artstyle too ✨️ Hope capcom makes a 3rd one Dragon Quest 3 remake, i think its very good, currently playing it. The combat menus are chore tho, i just set all party members to "fight wisely" so battles go by faster and party Ai is so smart, this even works well on bosses too lol. Looking forward to DQ1&2 remakes. I NEED THAT BOOK 📖 ✨️ 😮
