Dragon Quest 1 and 2, Suikoden, Ys, Xenoblade, Atelier Yumia, Lunar, Ghost of Yotei, Rune Factory, new Phantom Brave, Split Fiction, MGS 3 Delta, Freedom Wars, The First Berserker, Metroid Prime 4, South of Midnight, and many more. I don't game on PC, so my biggest may be Trails in the Sky Remake. I don't play Rockstar games, so GTA isn't on my radar, but it will be interesting to see if it meets the hype. Okami and Onimusha are high on my list, too. Another massive year.

There's something about Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 that has really captured my imagination. I think I feel about that the way John felt about Metaphor.

I get a similar feel. It's got an amazing style, great cast, and the devs have made it clear that they have scoped the game in a way to be specific to their needs. I take that as a slim, all killer no filler RPG. Very excited for Clive and Shadowheart to go on this crazy adventure

​​@@justincolgan1833Yeah, they said the game is about 30 hours, I think, and that's still a decent length for an RPG. It's old school JRPG length, or even something western like Mass Effect. They could still probably get away with charging $70 U.S., but they're choosing not to. Honestly, I hope it does really well and that the lower price is a real talking point.

Curious about the switch 2 but honestly 2024 was the year I spent more time playing retro games than modern. Triple A is really fumbling the ball lately and with sony and Ms already talking new systems when current ones barely got things going is very disappointing.

Snake Eater was absolutely groundbreaking back in the day. 🔥 What Kojima and his team did on PS2 is absolutely legendary-hard to explain how much of an insane technical achievement MGS 3 was. Loved the story as well. Excited to see the remake bring this game to a new generation of fans.

He's busy making other experiences. Although i don't necessarily like the choice title of Death Stranding 2 On the Beach. It should just be Death Stranding as the primary title with another sub title. No number 2 nor "On the beach" Just my opinion.

Probably a good thing. Kojima has too many weird ideas and without anyone to hold him back you end up with a game like Death Stranding. He'd run wild with MGS3 remake and we'd get a game barely resembling the og.

I played Xenoblade Chronicles X on the Wii U at release. I think I had anywhere from 40-60 hours into the game before I stopped playing, and I never even made it to the part where you get the Mechs. That game is huge

My 2025 will be partially filled by playing JRPG's, a genre I just got into thanks to Dragon Quest III HD-2D. I'm currently playing Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (amazing game so far, so much occult lore!), and I have Octopath Traveler II, DQ11, and Persona 3 Reload waiting afterwards. I'll be busy until June, I think!

With so many cool games coming out next year, and having a huge backlog, I would be surprised to get to play (and finish) even half of the above mentioned games.
