You two lovely ladies got me all fired up for Christmas. For this 32 minutes today I did not worry about Covid or the state of our democracy in the US. Thank you.

In the states, "pudding" usually refers to a custard-like dessert, so I always thought plum pudding was just that, a plum flavored custard. Watching you and your mom interact is always just delightful. Thank you!
@MirandaMills4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Pamela! No, Christmas Pudding is definitely more of the canon ball variety of pudding - but we love it! 😂

Oh, how I wish you had Taste-O-Vision on this video! I've always wanted to try Christmas pudding...especially having read about it in 'The Christmas Carol' every year. lol. The quince pastilles looked amazing! I smiled and giggled through the entire video - such a lovely Sunday treat for me. Thank you so much! You are your mom always look so lovely, too. Hello Miranda and Donna, this was such a funny and festive video! I adored all the extracts you read and the stiring ceremony was fun too. We used to buy a Christmas Pudding every year because my English husband always wanted one and one year I actually made one myself from scratch ( inspired by Nigel Slater). It was delicious and we even decorated it with a holly twig from our garden.

I was shocked when I saw the thumbnail without Donna. I was where is Donna?!. We need you both for the bake and read videos :) Thank you both, none in my family like the Christmas pudding but I might end up doing it because of your recipe and your cozy, warm videos. I will have them lined up for the stirring and wish-making:)

What a gorgeous, festive, video! I use the same Christmas Pudding recipe, always turns out so beautifully. When i heard the poem about Sam and the Christmas pudding, it immediately reminded me of The Lion and Albert, a great favourite of mine, which i now realise was also recited so hilariously by Stanley Holloway. Your videos are really helping to set the scene for christmas, thank you! X

What a thoroughly enjoyable and fun video, you both had me laughing out loud, especially your mum 😂😂. Felt like you’d both had an amazing day 😍 My mum and I aren’t real lovers of Christmas pudding and then I discovered Delia’s recipe, gosh, must be twenty odd years ago, and have made it ever since, we both looove it, my book most definitely doesn’t look as well preserved as your mum’s 🙃 Great choice of readings, I’m definitely beginning to feel a lot like Christmas 🎄 Love the stars by the way, I checked them out on Cambridge Imprints website earlier ☺️
