Hi from ireland , just subscribed to you recently, I recommend all my friends to follow you, but laughed when I told my postwoman about you and she knew all about you and the two of us talked about you and your decor, decorations etc like we knew you for years lol I have 4 Christmas trees up and took inspiration from you like going in deep with the decorations, using feathers etc as a tree topper and how to change around your decor from year to year ... one of my favourite places you done was definitely the log cabin ...heaven! Before retiring to Florida, I lived in a small CT town on the shoreline. The town has homes that date to the 1700's and even earlier. Every year, the town paper would announce the day in December that everyone should put candles in the windows. Not very inclusive and rather arrogant, but the houses looked great! I still put candles in my windows here in Florida and have received compliments from neighbors. It's a simple, yet impactful way of acknowledging the season. I grew up in another New England town and at Christmas Eve Mass, all the lights would be put out and by candlelight the organist would sing "O Holy NIght". As the tenor finished, lights behind the windows would be illuminated, showcasing the stained glass as we left the stillness of the church. Still gives me goosebumps.
