Christmas Time! Four Tantalizing Treats To Make & Sub Par Christmas Decor! Cook & Decorate With Me!

Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this new christmas decorate with me!! Christmas cook with me - and just all things christmas that we did that day! haha in the kitchen I made four amazing treats, really three amazing one not so great - the hot cocoa was NOT swiss miss, i'll just say that. haha But the kids did enjoy it so I guess it was good enough. The other three things I made were great! And could totally make them all year long, not just for the holidays / christmas time! Oh that makes me want jingle jangle from trader joes! Guess I need to pop over there sometime soon... anyway. I also decorated the house. This is all I'm going to do. haha Good enough!

Listen, Kim. Other KZbinrs might provide us with early decorating, kids Christmas hauls, and all that other stuff. But you provide us with something so much more. kim i just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate these videos. I haven’t had a “normal” christmas in about 10 years. unfortunately my parents struggle with alcoholism and there were several christmases that I’d rather forget. then 2 years ago my grandmother died very suddenly 2 days before christmas. she lived in russia so only my mom was able to get over there for the funeral which was on christmas day. i miss the traditional parts of christmas like decorating the tree and baking. so i enjoy getting to live vicariously through you. this is definitely one of the hardest times of year for me but it makes me happy to see you and your family so joyful and spreading that holiday cheer ❄️ 🎄 🎅🏻

Hey Kim! For the evaporated milk, my grandma taught me to make a smaller hole on the one side and then a big hole on the other! It comes out much faster! :)

We always drive around looking at Christmas lights! I make hot cocoa for all of us, and we have that in our insulated cups as we drive around. Other traditions are decorating a gingerbread house, making Christmas cookies for family and friends, and painting ornaments or decorations. I was even prepping four wooden snowmen for the family to paint while I was watching this. ⛄️☃️

I make Crock pot Hot Chocolate that is delicious and sweet. It uses the same ingredients you used except instead of the can evaporated milk, use can condensed milk. Very sweet!

Three years ago I hosted Thanksgiving for my Daddy & bonus mom for the first time EVER. I started my very own family tradition with having the Christmas tree up already with just the lights on. After dinner, we all decorated the tree as a family with Christmas music playing in the background!! Such sweet memories were made that I'll cherish forever. Eight months later my Daddy passed away unexpectedly while on a family vacation. I'm so blessed I got to have one last Thanksgiving with him, and I'll be forever grateful for those memories & time spent together as a family!! I miss him so much. We've continued the tradition of having the Christmas tree up & ready to be decorated after our turkey coma. 💚❤️🎄❤️💚

Our decor is pretty minimal, and beautiful. I put lots of thought into what and how things are displayed. Our kids are college aged, and I love to make it special every season. TIP for opening the condensed milk! Use the opener thingy you had…put one hole in the top and another hole on the opposite side. That creates air, and it should pour much easier. Hope this helps next time! ❤️

@@thewadsquad when the liquid comes out the space inside has to be replaced with air. If there is only one hole the milk is coming out the same hole that the air is trying to get in. A second hole means milk comes out one and air goes in the other.

In our community, there is someone (probably a few someones) who goes around to all the local school holiday concerts and church pageants, cantatas, and Christmas hymn sings and records them. Then, on Christmas Eve, they broadcast them on the local public access channel. In the last few years of my mom's life, when I was an adult and had moved back home to help care for her, the two of us, being the only night owls in the family, would sit up until midnight watching the carolers, concerts and pageants and sipping raspberry hot chocolate just to be able to wish each other Merry Christmas the moment it came around.

Good afternoon Kim! Thank you so much for being a normal mom and not trying to make your life look perfect. I am a homeschooling momma of 5. Our favorite tradition is some sort of gingerbread house making kit. This year we bought oreo houses to make. I always make cookies and homemade treats with my kids to pass out as goodies to family and friends. They love it and it is a special bonding time. Always jam out to Christmas music and watch as many Christmas movies as we can.

You remind me of how much fun the festival of lights was as a kid! I grew up near Santa Claus indiana, and Christmas Lake Village opened their gates in December. Santa greeted everyone at the gate with candy canes, and the houses on the route would have music playing or carolers, living nativity, and always a couple houses giving out goodies. Now between the drive to get their and the admission they started charging, it's just not feasible, but it was the highlight of my holiday season for a very long time!

Oh Kim you remind me so much of me when it comes to trying to do all of the things and being a mom too. I tend to get frazzled too and stressed and I do things just like you and sing or make up silly songs and find I am making my kids laugh. When we are stressed, life is so much better when we are laughing. And even though motherhood can feel like a juggling act, I wouldn't change it for the world and I know I will for sure miss it
