My head canon is that when asked by Eri what is xmas, Mirio got so enthusiastic and explained it to her, realized she probably doesn't know the concept of a holiday and explained to her all of the holidays.

Eri painted the eggs... you'd think Aizawa would've caught her beforehand, but I honestly think he let her do it. Her presence is making him slowly turn into a dad. As for the Secret Santa, I love that you can tell exactly who bought which gift... especially the bars of gold that Iida got.

Shoto and Eri’s adorableness was definitely the highlight of this one! Although I feel a little guilty about feeling that way on account of why they don’t really understand metaphors and holiday sayings. I still love them though 😅

Isn't it so wild that Shoto knew he was going back to Endeavor's agency, saw that arguably his two closest friends (Izuku and Katsuki) were struggling with having nowhere to go and thought 'You know what would be the biggest f you to my dad? Bringing my two best friends, who also happen to be rivals, to intern with me without evening asking his permission.' It was his way of talking care of his friends but also sending a message to Endeavor that Shoto is going to be the one in control of his own life and if his dad truly wants to make ammends, then he'll suck it up and get over it. He grabbed himself a support system.

One of my absolute favorite things about this episode and the christmas scene, that that mostly everyone's hat's are customized. The ball of fluff at the end of the christmas hats were replaced with something having loosely to do with the character. Like Jirou had a music note. It's so cute.

Out of the League, we've really only seen Dabi this season. In fact, we haven't seen any of them since their final interaction with Overhaul. Aside from Kurogiri in 4X15. But Shigaraki did say, "Next, it's our turn". And it looks like he kept true to his promise. After a mostly chill season, he returns to cause destruction in a mass of rubble and blood. Plus Chaos!

Shoto talking about Flashfire Fist is such a progress-marker. If it were first or second-season Todoroki, he'd say it's his dad's move and that he had no interest in using it. But now, it isn't that he isn't interested in his dad's tried-and-tested ultimate moves, he can just acknowledge that he's nowhere near as proficient in them as his father quite yet.

It's because the Third movie they were also making takes place after this season and had spoilers for the 3rd arc, but came out before the 3rd arc. They could've, you know, just planned for the movie's release date to be a month later, but nope, the studio decided to instead shuffle the timeline around.

You'll have to wait to find out what the hell is happening over at ground zero city. The order of events is a bit screwy in this adaptation, though apparently it may have been a bit screwy in a different way for the manga. For now though, enjoy the holidays for wholesome downtime interactions. I know I crave that stuff. When action is the norm, getting to see the heroes do conventional normal stuff to play up the character dynamics is golden. Be it a holiday or a calm day to day thing.
