@@MiriamsManner I just went to that Christmas Village Displays website, and I cannot believe all of the helpful tips they offer. I would have never found that place if it were not for you.....so thanks a million again. I am going to need some help or tips on how to hide cords and wires....like the wires that are attached to streetlights specially. I guess just bury them them with fake snow? lol. I do not mean to work you, but I bet many people want to know about wire hiding. I know I do. lol.
@MiriamsManner3 жыл бұрын
I will definitely be going over that in some videos to come. In the past, I have used grass mats, pebbles, snow, and the cobblestone road to cover the cords for my street lights. I also use another technique with styrofoam. I will be starting my village set up this coming week and will be doing a step by step video of my main village set up.

Hi Miriam, your displays are beautiful and your tutorials are great. This year will be my first Christmas Village. I have some questions for you, my display will be around 32 square feet, how much reindeer moss do I need? Would 4 - 8 oz bags be enough? Also, do you use only one color of moss or do you mix other colors as well, like lighter green and darker green, brown, yellow, purple? Thanks a lot.
@MiriamsManner3 жыл бұрын
Hello, Thank you so much for the compliment. Do you plan on using any other ground cover like roads or snow? I think 4 bags might be enough if you are using other things in your landscape. If not, I would pick up a few more bags to be safe.

Not realistic....too flat.
@MiriamsManner3 жыл бұрын
Well, it’s definitely flat because it’s paper. 😂. This is just an inexpensive option for those who would like hardscape added to their village without having to pay for it. Im sure you know there are lots of other options for you to purchase or make if you would like a more textured look. 😃 If you don’t know, I would be happy to point you in the right direction.

One thing you can do is get your self that foam board from dollar tree, and cut some strips of this paper out and past it to the foam to give a more thickness to the side walk

@@aleg3940There's so many ways to accomplish this to get a great look regardless of being paper or not. Just gotta think outside the box and come up with an idea to make it look great!!!
