Many many people admit to having been bullied. Almost nobody admits to being the bully. Fair play to him.

Takes guts to admit that on live TV. Well done chris.

What he saying is really relatable, this northern attitude defiantly shaped my childhood. Glad to see such a big actor speak on this, Chris is a stand up dude.

I respect Christopher Eccleston a lot for admitting this. We are all human and not perfect. Sounds like it was very difficult for him when dealing with bullies as well. It is emotionally draining. He made some great points that telling the teacher about it can help prevent future bullying.

It's like the foodchain for bullying. Big bully > lesser bully > even lesser bully > ant bully. If the big bully never bullied anyone, then the entire chain would break.

I like to think Christopher Eccleston put his regret of being a bully into his performance as the 9th Doctor in Doctor Who. The 9th Doctor's shame and his psychological trauma of the Time War.
@gbrogo71396 ай бұрын
I think you are right. Whether intentionally or unintentionally that sort of thing weighs on your subconscious, and manifests in how you express yourself. For actors like Eccleston, that would include his works. Just another reason why 9th doctor is goated

I got bullied at my junior school by the teachers. I’ll never forget 4b teacher in Haslucks Green demanded to know where I was the day before. I said nothing as my Dad had died of a brain tumour in agony. But the teacher she grabbed me by my hair and shook me very rapidly in front of 45 in the class. Pretty sure I had a brain injury from that vile teacher. Many of the boys (not all thankfully) thought it was hysterically funny and I had to put up with constant bullying from the bullies including a neighbour in my street! I blamed the teacher she was loved cruelty.

Fun fact he does a dramatic reading of yhe poem dulche et decorum est. I firmly believe that its a poem the dr would have used to make a point from that.

Literally clickbait, hardly a breakdown
@jenksie209411 ай бұрын
While I agree to clickbait aspect of it I don't think it's fully clickbait, maybe exaggerated. I think from watching it he is having a breakdown but he's doing his best to keep it from showing since he probably didn't want to make the interview about him and keep it to the topic he was on the show for.
@gbrogo71396 ай бұрын
Exploitive clickbait at that. It takes advantage of a genuine thing Eccleston deals with and regrets, and over dramatizing it to generate buzz. Imo it’s kind of disgusting and disrespectful
