This exact video was on KZbin years ago with substantially more views and I decided to save it to my computer back then. I quoted from it whilst I was studying the Clinton's back in 2014 alongside his book 'Nobody Left To Lie To'. Somebody else I think has re-uploaded it since, the original view count I think was in the hundreds of thousands.

"Triangulation Policy/Strategy" Substitute Clinton with current Democratic Party and you wouldn't skip a beat. ....Mind Blown. When I watch this clip it reminds me of the the Cheney "Quagmire" interview of the early 90's in a weird way that's hard to describe because the role of the individuals (Cheney vs. Hitchens) is totally opposite.

Christopher detested trump. There's an interview with Chris where he was being asked quick fire questions about how he felt about high profile people and one of them was trump. Chris replied 'well he's a man who's been able to cover 3 quarters of his head with only a quarter of his hair. 🤣

"He has set a new stand for political corruption...." How ruthlessly accurate that statement is and also the observations of Norman Mailer who was also a very astute, political commentator. Let me tell you, as maddening as it may be, it does seem to me that people truly do live through the times that they are actually meant/made for... They leave and they come _just in time._ History will rhyme in another generation and that will birth the next one. Hop, skip and a jump-- but that's still another 70-100 years for another Hitchens. Too long. Maybe he'll play future-piano, instead.

I’m always conflicted. I completely agree with Christopher, Bill was definitely a shady slime ball. But after having that incompetent bozo W in office for 8 years, I go back and appreciate Bills level of intelligence and competency. I don’t think he’s a great human being, but you cannot deny he was a pretty solid president aside from all the personal character issues. You think about Jimmy Carter, absolutely wonderful and incredible man. Very sincere and honest guy who has literally dedicated his life to helping others since his years in office. But if you had to pick between Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton to be president, who would you choose? For me it’s Bill all day long.
@MoeHamHead-bx7og Жыл бұрын
Actually I can deny he was a "pretty solid president." What did he do that was solid? The economy? Thank the internet boom for that. He sent Army Rangers into Somalia as part of a nation building exercise...how did that turn out? He actually apologized to Rwandans for the US not intervening in their civil war and stopping genocide, but he never apologized to the families of US military personnel that were killed in Somalia.
@TakeNoteOfThat6 ай бұрын
Carter didn’t launch military attacks to distract the public from the latest news about his sexual predation of an intern. Carter had character and a moral compass. Clinton had neither. Yeah other presidents have killed people blah blah W! blah blah REAGAN STARTED AIDS! Etc. Go talk about THOSE presidents on THEIR videos.

@DavidAdarmases1214 күн бұрын
There's nothing personal about it; Clinton was a man who governed for his own interests, not for the interests of others. And Clinton, along with everyone who supported him, played a big part in setting a new standard for corruption and lying. The fact that Clinton was never criminally charged for breaking American laws (let alone international laws) is shameful.
