Dr. Faustus has the vibe of Goethe's Faust. Was Goethe inspired from Marlowe?

There is no existing record for sure to confirm it as of now. But the probability obviously exists since Marlowe belonged to an era before Goethe’s so maybe he had read it or maybe he hadn’t. The contention is always there. But then again there is no record of him having owned or read Marlowe’s ‘Dr. Faustus’ so only further research can tell us that.

I am finishing all the backgrounds first so that we can only focus on discussing the works later. So it will be out soon. Kindly bear with me.

@@EnglishwithSuranjali Thanks for the reply. Do take all the time you need, reading these kinds of works is a lifetime project, it won't happen overnight, it takes patience and unwavering commitment, so I will wait as long as it needs.
