Chris at this point is desperate for validation, respect etc and he's frustrated that he's not a made guy yet. Feels like he should have been made after he ended Amil (aka Email). He wants to be respected and feared like the other guys in the family but instead no one knows who he is and he doesn't look that imposing or intimidating either so no one takes him seriously. P.s. fun fact, the big guy that Chris sends out, later plays Vito a mobster in the Dimeo / Soprano family. He's a very good earner and they find out he's .. he likes the company of men. Tony tells Dr Melfi that he thinks it's wrong but "who cares, a salute, live and let live" (mainly because he's such a good earner). But the others aren't into that. And it doesn't help that he's married to the sister of Phil Leotardo (high ranking member of another family) who finds out and is beyond enraged. (It's sorta implied that Phil also batted for the other team and struggled with that fact). If I remember correctly he goes on the run, but Phil finds and ends him by turning him into a shish kebab with a pool cue inserted from a certain orifice

Chris had a big effect on that kid, so much so that the kid grew up, became an FBI agent, later becoming the right hand man of the FBI's director, then went after one of the big mob bosses in town and almost got him!

Not really, him beating that band guy over the head with a guitar was a hothead moment. At this point of the show he's desperate for validation. He feels like he's constantly being overlooked in the "family". He feels like he isn't getting the respect that he deserves. He gets ignored the entire time he's there and then the guy lets someone go infront of him. And this is after he's been feeling like this for almost 2 seasons. He feels like he should have been made after he ends "e-mail" (Amil) but he doesn't get made yet and he's frustrated. So he takes out his frustration on this random guy. All the other people he's with are somewhat infamous, they walk into a store or restaurant and everyone treats them with respect etc. But no one knows who Christopher is yet. After this his name ends up in the papers, and he literaly buys an entire stack of news papers because he's so proud to be in the papers. He just wants to be recognized and respected. He wants people to fear him like they fear Tony
