Great video as always, interesting case and A+ commentary and analysis. I'd be very interested in seeing a video of your experiences and opinions about treating patients who suffer from depression because they have physical pain / other limiting physical conditions and how mental health relates to making these problems worse. Can treatment possibly help people with their physical symptoms, either by enduring them better or even being less sensitive to the pain in the first place and how much (that's obviously individual, but what's the scope there)? And your opinions about treating patients with chronic pain with mood stabilizers to "raise the pain tolerance" and when one of them doesn't work (I was told it's about 50/50) just giving them another one to try out. These medications commonly have pretty insufferable side effects for the first couple of weeks when starting to use them and it's very limiting for the duration. Having to go through the process over and over again is frustrating. I was also told that there's no way to get addicted to pain medications other than opioids if they do not relieve the pain, I would also like to see a video related to this kind of topic. I feel like people don't know what kind of medication they are using most of the time and what exactly they need to do if they want to stop using them.

This is number 4 in my list.. My notes on this.... guess 1952 was my year too, These notes help. Five factors related to Passive Aggressive Behavior 1. Rigidity - inflexible, maladaptive, stubborn, authoritative, dogmatic 2. Resentment - * anger, irritability, cynical, skeptical, low in trust, jealousy, paranoid, shame in expressing anger and a lot of anger turned inward. 3. Resistance - too weak to directly display dissatisfaction, come from low self- esteem, people reject useful advice and are inactive. They refuse to do any work. Oppositional attitude toward authority... 4. Reactance - procrastinating ( someone believes their behavior option is restricted ). This restores an individuals perceived freedom of choice. They hold onto control. 5. Reversed a Reinforcement.- normally when problems occur this leads to feelings of power and verification. May agree to something they not enjoy, do it, feel terrible. There is no way to reach negative emotions. this exists.

The near groin wound is the main thing that makes me wonder. It's very inline with what an angry wife could do. As to him not dying, the fact is that the average person way over estimates the lethality of hand guns, so it'd be real easy for her to think he was surely going to die after being shot twice and quickly moved to finish the children and herself. Statistically, most people shot survive, and it's almost a sure thing if the wound didn't kill you instantly.

I have “amnesia” from my car wreck so I can totally understand it happening in a major traumatic event. However I had a concussion and was seriously injured and almost died so it makes sense my memory of the wreck and the next few days of what happened I only have maybe 2 or 3 minutes worth of remembering. Though I was talking to my (ex) husband and my family in the hospital, the doctors and nurses, I wasn’t just knocked out for days I was awake. It’s such a weird feeling not knowing what all happened. I remember driving into the intersection and then I remember being in the life flight helicopter for a split second and then I remember it being the day after Halloween which would have been three days after the wreck. The brain is a crazy thing. I was very lucky I didn’t die from some moron running a red light. But in this guys case I just don’t see it happening like he said since he changed his story around and the stuff with the dancers …. Idk it’s not looking good for him.

Two things about the wife's mental health and the drugs found in her system: first, if she was experiencing panic disorder, this could have been due to some intuitive sense of not being safe with her husband. That doesn't mean he killed her, because there were certainly other things he did wrong that she may have known or sensed, but her disorder by itself certainly does not make it more likely she committed the crime, either, and her panic could have been exacerbated by feeling unsafe with him. Second, the medications in her system: never underestimate the fact that major corporate interests are aligned against recognizing that some widely-prescribed drugs are very dangerous to a tiny group of people. So, there were interests involved in suppressing that possibility. That would make it harder for the defense to get a qualified expert to testify for their side. This is a tough case. Apparently, a lot of people who analyzed his entire statement to police agree it would be hard to fake believing his family was alive without slipping, and hard to fake interest in seeing the video of what happened. But that doesn't point to guilt or innocence, necessarily. It just means he really did have a traumatic memory lapse, making it impossible to assist in his defense.

He could have just gotten a divorce or just left and disappeared. Chris is definitely the killer! He said he doesn't remember???? HELLLLOOOO! His parents will never believe he did it, even if he tells them, "Look, I did it." Their denial is protective denial of their own egos, and they need to keep their view of their son as good and Kimberly as bad. I listened to the whole thing, and the episode where EVERYONE lost me was Chris's letter to his parents telling them he lied to police about having amnesia and he lied when he told police that Kimberly couldn't have done it. He knows what happened and that he just thought the police would figure it out. THAT MAKES NO SENSE, but it plays well to his parents' about what an honorable husband Chris was RIGHT UP UNTIL THE END to protect his wife's memory. Even though she killed his kids, tried to kill him, and then turned the gun on herself. Yeah, right. The forensics told by the removed investigator were not the forensics told to the jury. That is one investigator's theory and the same investigator had screwed up another high profile investigation allowing Drew Peterson to walk free for a long time, until they revisited the case and another forensic look was taken at his ex-wife's bathtub drowning. Listen to that portion of the podcast. Finally, Christopher Vaughn himself does not want to fight he case through the system. So now his parents, who can't let it go, are suing the state on their own behalf. Christopher wants his parents to go to their graves believing in his innocence so he will never admit that he's where he belongs. So he's bowing out of the fight and the parents still think he's protecting his evil, mentally ill wife. Puh-lease. Tragedy for all involved, really.

It wasn't "one of the state police investigators", he was the lead investigator until he did not agree with the tunnel vision of the investigation, and they fired him. Also, chris continually begged for the video footage as it would prove he did not kill his family. They also disposed of the bag that the firearm was originally stored in. It was covered in blood and in the crime scene photos. However, it could not be located... additionally, the trip was not concretely planned out, however they had discussed it previously and they were known to take random trips like this. As for his dissociative amnesia, it is VERY common when the brain is protecting you from something so horrible, it cant be handled. How would using complete memory loss be beneficial to him? Obviously he would have had plenty of time to plan this out to the letter had he planned it in advance... it just doesnt fit for something planned out

Yes, after she was done shooting him, she shot in sequence from near left (the girl behind the driver's side), then the girl in the middle seat, then the boy in the seat behind her passenger's side front seat, who had apparently awoken by this time and had his hands up in a defensive position. That sequence makes the most sense if she is doing the shooting, but not likely if Chris was. Also, the bullet trajectory of one of the bullets that hit the girl in the middle seat was from the passenger side front seat, where the wife was sitting.
