I was watching the Severence the other day, and boom...suddenly, after many episodes he just pops up there too (his acting was really good!) P.s. The US version was based on the UK version, but given how long the US version ran and how different it was from the UK show, I think it's ok to distinguish between the two. Merchant even acknowledged that there's no way he and Ricky Gervais could've done what Greg Daniel's did with the American version of the show.

I feel Stephen Merchant's size pain but in a very specific spot: my feet. I'm 5' 11" tall, so not huge. But I wear size 13 shoes. Imagine how often I've heard, "I'm sorry, sir. I can relate to that. For me it sometimes works as my feet are too wide for a regular size 10 so I need a "10 wide" but with some shoe brands an 11 works out too, probably hence the question. (OT: I finally discovered that "Australians" have exactly my foot form (must have stolen my contours while I slept) and I can buy those through the mail in size 10. )

All other versions (of which there are many), including the popular US version, are remakes/adaptations of the original British series created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. Ricky and Stephen created The Office itself. Calling it “the British version” makes it sound like it’s just another adaptation or remake rather than the original. Do you see what we mean now?
