This is a very special watch. It's not an every day wear but when the time (pun intended) is right it's amazing.

Will there be new reviews on any Casio watches?

Christopher Ward is hardly a microbrand as they have factory in Switzerland, customer service department in UK, in-house magazine and even in-house caliber.. they literally are a brand, maybe even selling more watches than say.. Oris.

I like how you told how they are a microbrand, company in UK and factory's elsewhere. They also are selling only directly to customers. In all facets CW is a textbook definition of a Microbrand. That really is not a bad thing and actually is a great thing in this aspect. They are able to sell the watches cheaper by only selling direct to the customers and have a lot less over head VS a traditional all in one manufacturer. Also a microbrand has nothing to do with it automatically being low quality and cheap price. Ming is held in extreme high demand and highly regarded. I would of loved to purchase the last Ming released but I simply I'm unable to drop thirty two thousand dollars on a watch.

@@tacomn let’s agree to totally disagree 🤷🏻 there’s nothing microbrand about CW besides they only sell directly online. That’s a different distribution system, with no retailers. But they have a big operation, they even own a Swiss manufacture, have several watchmakers both in Swiss and UK, customer service departments, a HQ that customers can visit, magazine etc. They make lots of official licensed products from military corps and now incredible in-house complications. How’s that micro brand, that’s exactly big brand model. Venezianico instead, for example, it’s just a couple of brothers and they do it all (even customer service) but ironically they even have a network of brick and mortar retailers in Italy and distribution through various online sellers. They don’t have their own factory or anything, they don’t modify movements or anything. Pretty much the same for Zelos. So I guess how you sell isn’t the definition of microbrand 🤷🏻

@@FabioTWK I mean you are really doing my job better than me in stating why they are a microbrand. You state how CW is not a mainstream brand, they only deal direct with the customer only. They have a assortment of places they take from with and use. May it be I production, parts, design to customer service locations, HQ hubs, etc. Basically they are outsourcing may it be parts/jobs/finishing/ deaign etc. Like you state a network in how the company runs, produces, and sells their products. This is definition microbrand. Not like a established company that has everything done via there own factories and mass produced. Nor are they like a independent brand in which for the most part everything is done by that company solely. You metion Zelos, another great microbrand. Perhaps you are under the assumption Microbrand is something else then what is defined by?
@FabioTWK2 жыл бұрын
@@tacomn what part of they own their own visitable HQ and showroom, they own their own manufacture with watchmakers in Switzerland (inevitable for a brand that wants “Swiss made”), they have customer service teams, watch servicing with watchmakers in UK at HQ, publish their own magazine etc etc do you not understand? I mean go on keep insisting because obviously you want to think they’re a micro brand no matter what so suit yourself 🤷🏻♂️ the sky is acid purple today. prove me wrong
@tacomn2 жыл бұрын
@@FabioTWK You think microbrand is synonymous with being bad or cheaply? How about this, do they have full complete independent control of all the facets of production, parts, design, movements etc. No you said it yourself they have a network of outsourcing for their production. Ok so how about do they deal with mass production that is not ran by individuals but managed by a company entity that has large overheads for owning there own factories, advertisements, dealership and authorized dealers to sell there products? No CW production is limited, as stated parts of there production in both design and making that design come to reality is outsourced, lastly they deal direct to consumers. All these things makes up what a Microbrand is. There is nothing wrong with something being a microbrand.. I would argue that actually great to have awesome watches at great prices that you can not obtain through eatabled big mass produced companies nor independent brands like FP Journe, H Moser, MB&F etc.

I love the design of that watch but I feel like the hands could have been done better. They're rather difficult to see and need to stand out more. After all, it is a timepiece.
