Only had the watch for less than a week but wanted to make a video asap as i've had a few subscribers asking :) Thanks everyone for the support on this new channel. Really enjoying doing these watch reviews and hoping to do many more! If anyone has a watch that they'd like me to review i'm more than happy to do so if you want to send it to me :)

Your videos have helped me decide that i’ll probably pull the trigger on this one (but probably next year once they start selling on the new single screw bracelets). I think you’ve done a great job of finding watches that not only fit your wrist well but also look great on you aesthetically, somehow the blockier wrist presence of the tudor and sinn seem to go better with your tattoos than the more rolex like slenderness of this c63, and i can totally see why it doesn’t have a place in your collection given the other similar watches. However it is also probably my favourite of all your watches! I think the dial is close to perfection, much cleaner overall than the trident, e.g I prefer the way the indices sit inbound of the minute track giving breathing space between them and the edge of the dial, rather than extending to the edge interrupting the minute track on the trident. So many great watches and no write or wrong answers!
@arcadevampire
@arcadevampire Жыл бұрын
Agree. Although similarish dial, i find it looks cleaner on c63 because its intended explorer look. Maybe it would be better to compare watches pound for pound, rather than by dial in isolation. The trident sits in dive watch category, thus if you are looking for a black dial diver, there are an infinite number of compelling watches. In the explorer-like category, fewer but more nuanced takes on the theme. Indeed no rights/wrongs, just another pov.

Its a shame you didnt get on with it. I got the LE version, liked it so much so got it in black too. I was the other way round, in that I didnt like the colour accents (like the 39mm version). The simple black and white, like the explorer, is timeless. Loving it.

I'm new to this brand. I've been looking for a new watch for my 60th bday and was heading for a hamilton until I saw these. For me, these top the Hamiltons, in looks and spec and importantly fof me, size. I'm blessed with a lady like 6.5 wrist and the hamilton lugs would stick out too much and bug me. Even their 38 size. The main reason I haven't bought a decent new watch for many years, is the lack of smaller models....and the excessive price of the big names. So I'm quite excited to find CW doing a 36 at I price i can afford. Spec sounds great too. I'm wrestling with colour choice now. I can only afford one, so I want to get it right.

Hello Alan great review and comparison. Could you advise if the sealander bracelet fits on the trident even though the endlinks would not reach the end of the lugs. Great review and comparaisons ! Definitely a great value watch 👍 I was looking for a casual everyday beater under 1000€, I'm hesitating a lot actually, and since you have them I hope you could help me make the best decision. Under 600€, Hamilton Khaki Field is what I was aiming for at the very beginning. Then I saw that C63 which seems to be an overall better watch for 250€ more (is it really 250€ more quality watch, idk) then I saw the Sinn 556A, for another 200€ more... I'm kinda stuck to be honest. Which one would you suggest over the 2 others, I get there's a x2 price gap but I feel like the Sinn, once a great value watch, is no longer that great deal because of the price increases it had, almost 25% is quite hard to digest frankly. Do you think it's justified? I'm more leaning towards the C63 aesthetically speaking, but my priority is quality. Which one, to you, seem to be the best value proposition and which one have the better built quality/feeling in your wrist? Thanks 🙏 Those 3 made my shortlist but if you have a better suggestion I'll gladly consider it !

Thanks! I have this dilemma all of the time as they all have strengths but if I could only choose one of them it would always be the sinn! The CW is definitely the best value and probably even looks the most aesthetically pleasing but there’s just a magic about the sinn that I can’t even explain! I know this isn’t really helpful but i would say that it would be a good idea to try all of them at some point in your journey 🙏👍

As has been said, shame but completely understand why it's going back, too similar to the Trident and the Black Bay 36 is doing the job as far as no dive bezel is concerned. Loving my 39mm C63 but nearly all my watches have numbers on the bezels and the C63 doesn't...the bracelet sounds a pain, I'll be sure to get CW to size it when I order one. The videos are coming along nicely. 👍

Hey my friend. I'm a bit disappointed with the ammount of flex in the braclet of my C63 36mm. I wonder if the braclet of the C60 300 has the same ammount of flex or is it better due to only hacking one solid screw per link instead of that weird 2 screw system the C63 36mm braclet uses?

I am not poking fun at you, I realise people have different skill sets with handling tools. However you must always have the exact driver for the job. It really is that black and white for me. Right tools for the job always. It may seem patronising but I have resized, pulled movements, changed Crystals. From 70 grand watches to £7 watches. I don't wanna come off like a preachy plum mate, but slow pace, breathing, and the right tools really help. Just my opinion and no shade on you.

Thank you mate and really appreciate the feedback! I can definitely relate to the fact that jobs are so much easier with the correct tools (as I've found over the years with general DIY) in this instance it would be the same. The CW clasp isn't longer though? The length of the clasp includes the inside of the clasp not just the outside and you can see in the video (8:14) the Tudor clasp is just as long if not longer. My Tudor has a long clasp on the inside which has exactly the same affect .

My OCD is probably getting the better of me here, but I find myself wearing my 39mm C63 way less than all my other watches - all of which are divers. Thing is: My C63 picked up a slight scratch (more like a "mark", really .. practically invisible at a casual glance) very early on its steel bezel, making me realize that this type of design is probably a lot more susceptible to this sort of "damage". On a ceramic-equipped diver, this kind of stuff doesn't really happen and on aluminium-equipped ones it somehow just adds a bit of character to the watch - on that beautifully finished Lightcatcher case with a steel bezel however ... None of which is meant as a criticism of the watch - probably more of me and my weird tendency to want to keep things looking "perfect" .. :D
@Time_and_time_again
@Time_and_time_again 2 ай бұрын
I’m pretty sure “weird tendencies” goes hand in hand with this kind of hobby! 😂 I’m exactly the same. Maybe you just got unlucky with the scratch but I see your point. I do tend to choose a diver most of the time but I still love this sealander 36mm as it gives me explorer vibes without the cost. I’m not sure I’d feel the same about the 39mm but that’s probably due to having a 6” wrist! Thanks for your comment mate 🙏👍

@@Time_and_time_again Only 6.75 here myself and I also would have gone for the 36mm .... if it had existed at the time when I bought. :) I was a bit surprised at how relatively large the 39mm appears to be. Not an issue with the watch itself, but with the style of watch, I reckon. The dial is quite a bit larger than on a 39mm diver, meaning this thing presents very differently despite the identical case-diameter(s).

I own both the new trident and sealander also. I do prefer the trident however I picked up the sealander as a I wanted a classy looking white dial watch. I think it would be good if the sealander lost the date and had 3,6,9 numbers on the dial and get rid of the trident second hand to make it more distint from the trident. I still really like the sealander though as just having the white dial seperates it enough for me from my trident. It's dissappointing that CW didn't make the sealander and trident bracelet a perfect fit on each other. That said, I'd rather live with the 2mm hangover than pay $350 Australian dollars for a second bracelet.
