I'm taking the Squale, I have a 1521 and a GMT... Love them both!... They were making cases for all the best like Blancpain divers years ago... Outstanding value for the money... Some of my favorites...

I absolutely love my Squales! My Ocean Blue 1521 will always be one of my favorites! Charles Von Buren and Squale certainly had a major impact on the whole Dive watch industry in those early years! Yes I’ve seen the dual branded Blancpain’s that Squale made the cases for!

You call the Squale a legitimate dive watch, wouldn't you use a dive computer to go diving instead?

Anyone who really dives uses a dive computer nowadays. But as far as dive watches go anything 500m or more wr is considered real. Lol.

These days, you really should dive with a dive computer, but if you already have a reliable dive watch, then you could take it along as a backup during your dives (assuming you aren’t afraid of it getting a scratch). A good dive computer usually costs the same as or even less expensive than any of the 3 mechanical dive watches in this video, while also giving you functions like actual diving depth and estimated tissue loading calculations, which you cannot get from a dive watch. (A dive computer also gives you dive time like a dive watch.)
