Wonderful reading, thank you! I love Schopenhauer's brilliant and accessible way of communicating the same "dispassion" that is described in the eastern spiritual texts he explored. I often wonder if he ever got a glimpse of the goal of withdrawing one's attention form the world; like, did he touch some transcendent or timeless moments which proved to him why the eternal is superior to the temporal?
