Being able to pull off the PCI backplate to be able to install the GPU more easily is absolutely genius. If I could just finally make piece with case designs that don't allow you to see your CPU/RAM and GPU at the same time for maximum eye candy, this case would be a definite contender.

HI. I mounted the same fan model as shown in the video. The cold air comes out at the bottom. It's normal?
@andrest2002
@andrest2002 6 ай бұрын
I think you might have mounted the fans upside down. I will be building this exact case and i think i will do research with one fan as intake and the other as exhaust. My theory is it the fans will allow a more circular air flow. Intake fan pushing cold air into the gpu while also pushing air past it, around the case, and having the second fan “exhaust” push the remaining hot air outside. Not sure how this will work but i dont plan on using the glass panel so i might not use fans to avoid the fan noise
@AR-ke8wg
@AR-ke8wg 2 жыл бұрын
Bottom fans as exhaust is the ticket. Might even be able to put 25mm fans as exhaust down below.
@ChristopherFlannigan
@ChristopherFlannigan 2 жыл бұрын
Not sure about that, as the hot air will be blowing down over the desk and up into your face (have tired something similar before in another case). Also the fans were too loud for my liking.
@Mars057
@Mars057 2 жыл бұрын
You always want your exhaust to be higher up, in this case at the top of the case. Thermodynamics state that heat rises, I think I'll listen to that haha.
@JoHo_
@JoHo_ 2 жыл бұрын
@@Mars057 when using the perforated panel, the gpu gets side intake and blows air both up and down, so having bottom exhaust helps taking the hot air from the gpu away. (That's the theory behind it tho, I haven't seen relative testing results yet)

Absolutely not... Heat rises. Having your heat exhaust down will cause a lot of it to be sucked back into the machine and exhausted again. Have the bottom fans as intake, moving cool air from the bottom into the case, to be exhausted out the top.

Cooler master only had to move up the GPU slot 4mm to allow for full-size fans at the bottom. That would have improved your numbers. I can't find a logical reason for them not to do it.

Hey Chris, not sure if you have this build still kicking around, but I'd be interested to see how the thermals would fare with your two bottom fans set for exhaust rather than intake. In theory, the bottom exhaust would help to pull the hot air from the GPU heatsink, and increase negative pressure, which would in turn pull more cool air through the vented side panel. I'd guess this would be a fairly significant difference in temps, but theory vs practice can definitely surprise us. I'm thinking about picking up this case for a 12700k/3090 build soon, and I'd be interested to know if that setup would produce significantly better temps than a setup with no bottom fans.

Did you ever try it out in exhaust configuration?
@SteremyJeele
@SteremyJeele Жыл бұрын
@@MBpotato89 Yep, that's how I've been running it since I built it, going strong 3 or 4 months now. GPU temps are great, CPU temps leave a bit to be desired, but a more aggressive fan curve on the radiator-mounted fans keep temps healthy at the expense of a bit of noise. Generally under gaming loads I'm seeing GPU temps around 56-64c, CPU temps in the mid 70's or lower. Some particularly CPU intensive games can pull that to 78-ish, but I've got the fans set to kick on to 100% there, so it doesn't exceed 80c except for very brief spikes before the fans pick up.

That case is pretty rare where I live, but love the idea of how you can carry it like a suitcase. There is something REALLY weird with your build if a AMD Ryzen 3700X can reach 93c in a 30 minute AIDA64 stress test in 20c ambient temps. This case has a 280mm AIO waterblock, and should be able to keep this particular CPU below 80c. With PBO enabled, the 3700X should max out at about 110 Watts, something this case and cooler should easily be able to keep cool. Would love to see temp and audio results with better application of thermal paste / with different fan speeds on the radiator Perhaps even the BIOS is giving the CPU too much juice?
