As a recent NR200 user with the large XFX 6900xt I am glad cooler master has kept large gpu support, being able to remove parts of the case frame when positioning the card helps out a lot 👌

As far as the vented side panel config goes, perhaps you might want to flip the bottom fans as exhaust instead, so as to create negative pressure within the case, which might further improve GPU thermals. Having bottom fans as intake often results in worse temps esp. for the GPU, as you're effectively fighting airflow with the GPU and regurgitating hot air back into the case, which means more work for the top fans.

- Move gpu slot a couple of milimiters up enough to fit regular size fans at the bottom. - Add USB-C - Update top panel mesh removing the two weird looking 120mm fan holes from previous verison. - Sell it without PSU & AIO with more color options. I stuck a couple ID-cooling ARGB slim fans at the bottom and the whole system runs cool and quiet while looking great through the TG. Pretty damn happy with this case.

I have this case, I was able to fit 2 full size 120mm fans in the bottom. I spaced the gpu up with a couple small washers on the screws and squeezed them in. Optionally I drilled a small hole in the far side of the case and found the weird small bolt that would screw into the gpu threads on the far side of the gpu for support. It's rock solid.

If you are using the vented side panel you will get better thermal performance with negative pressure by running both fans in exhaust which will draw air in through the side panels. If you are using the glass side panel you'll have better thermal performance with running the bottom fans in intake and the top fans in exhaust. Optimum Tech KZbin channel has done a lot of testing on this.

Test the setup with the big card and the bottom fans exhausting.... also if you can block the exhaust to the same side as the gpu is intaking to avoid recirculation even from outside of the case. I bet GPU temps will be even lower. This case is a prime example of what full negative pressure can do with purposeful airflow.

I recall someone testing bottom fans in exhaust mode created a better flow, since axial fans push air up and down, top fans exhaust and bottom exhaust.

literally answered all my questions, absolute legend. a bit concerning about the thermals on the gpu with the tg even with the bottom fans, guess id just run them at 75-100% to keep cool

It does much better with a non blower card in that setup. I have an evga rtx 3080 ftw3 with slim fans underneath and temps are great with the TG panel on.

Should test with the bottom fans in the exhaust (negative pressure) position compared to blowing inside the case. Some experts say it makes a lot more sense to make the bottom fans blow outwards. I'm very curious.

Honestly I would have preferred the MAX to just be a tiny bit taller and not change the internal layout. In other words provide support for dual 280mm radiators and not need a PCIE riser. I think if they released that and the case was just 2-3 litres bigger it would have been peak!

I forsee ITXs with two AIO solution in the futire, one for the CPU and one for the Graphic Card. Even with stadard caeses the Graphic cards are getting too heavy and too big and might need additional support. I think similar to CPUs graphic card should standarize on thrid party AIOs / coolers.

OK, so we have "option" for a 3rd PCIe cable, but it is not added in the box, while getting the same PSU on its own gives you all three cables out of the box, and regular or replacement CM branded PCIe cables are a fair bit longer than those added to this case, so getting a working short 3rd one would require possibly a full cable kit eg. to keep color or form the same. That's a downside... At least there are SATA cables (or at least one, but not connected from the get go) for the front mounted 2.5", but it seems the molex cable is not there in the box as well so anyone thinking of some molex/sata-powered fan hubs or liquid cooling alterations would possibly also need a few extra cables. Or maybe these are just omissions from the packaging sent out to the reviewers while regular retail units would get a full compliment of short cables...

Hot air rises, it's called convection. Bottom intake and top exhaust is perfect for this case.

With the lower mount point for the vertical GPU, compared to the NR200P, is it possible to do a dual rad custom loop in this case? I know it is a waste of the AIO, but if there is an NR200P V2 it would be good know. No more faffing around with a side mounted rad. Maybe you could do a custom loop build.

Another reviewer put a fan in the bottom of this case, and the temps were worse. The gpu was a 3090 fe card with glass side panel. It would be good to see this case run with out ac on.

Nr200 is a beast of a case on its own. I didn't like the idea this case to come with a bundle but there is a market for everything.. sadly without the skirt addon you won't be able to do a custom dual radiator loop

A custom loop would work with a barrow CPU/pump block combo and with the slimmer nouvolo CPU pump block, super slim rad and the slim fans in the underside with the skirt addon.

For those still wondering: this confused me too. The 'prebuilt' version (Max) of this case is the only one I can find that does NOT support horizontal GPU installation. That said, since the entire case comes apart, it might (stress: *might* - I haven't tested this) be possible to get a rear panel from one of the other models to do this - just don't know how one would get it.

I just saw your comment that you can replace the AIO and PSU no problem in this case. As far as I know the AIO tube length is longer than normal (ie. custom) for this case to get the routing you have when bought. This gets the tubes out of the way for the larger GPUs. Most aftermarket AIOs have shorter tubes so their routing becomes an issue. Can you please comment?
