This video will go down in history as the most comprehensive install video ever made for the Lancool 216. Great job on the video, by far the best install video for any case I have ever seen and I've been building PC's since 1996.

Sir, this is the most complete tutorial I have ever seen. I wish I had found it 24h earlier :) I did almost everything wrong and had a lot of trouble. I will take everything apart and start over. Big thanks. You have great pacing and the way you point out which screw they are referring to with your finger is very helpful. There are a lot of tech content creators out there who seem to have forgotten that not every enthusiast builds PCs for a living.

Just a quick mention here. You stated in your walkthrough of the case that when the motherboard is set in the higher (air-cool) position, that you wouldn't be able to mount a radiator at top. On Lian Li's product page for this case, it shows a diagram that states it can in-fact fit a radiator up to 360mm with a thickness of

Thank you so much. I can't overstate how helpful you were - I built a PC around 8 years ago and wanted to do so again. I bought all of the components including this case and got around to assembly...I never expected the step of putting everything into the case to be the most complicated. I had everything I could do outside of it done. I sat down to the case, which I bought because of the reviews AND the overall look since it looked like it'd be great for fans and cooling (which it is). But when I opened the case to start the process my brain Blue Screened...holy sh*t... So many cables, so many removable/movable options. So much data! My brain doesn't do well with a lot of visual info and after I had the motherboard, graphics card, and PSU situated I was at a loss as to what to do. I probably would've had to have paid someone to help if not for your video. Thank you SO MUCH. TL;DR of purchase: Great case, overwhelming if you're an amateur. This video is a must and Lian Li should be giving this channel some royalties.

HDD bracket is removable . PSU sits on 2 rubber feet for airflow and perforated housing. the included 160mm fans in front are super silent . dust filter is not needed because of perforated mesh . RGB version comes with a fanRGB HUB . this case is very versataile just amazing!!

First time builder from scratch here. Just installed my 7800x3D and RTX 4080. I’m so pleased with it. I’ve had a couple custom built PCs that I’ve played around a lot with but first time building from scratch. Although my parts were all different apart from the case, you just need to figure out the corresponding options on your own build and it’s fine. Your video helped so much. One thing I did mess up on is that my motherboard only has 1 usb 3.0 slot so I can’t use the USBs on my ARGB controller which is on the side of the case. The one you pay extra for and is sold separately. I can still change the lights but I can’t use the USBs. Is there a work around even though I only have 1 usb 3.0 slot on my motherboard? My mobo is the MSI Mag Mortar B650m

OOOOOOOHHHHH!!! SO CLOSE!!! I was stoked to watch this because I'm doing a build tomorrow with this exact case and cooler. I was wondering if I could forego the wiring harness from the LS720 and just plug them into the hub, but then you went and used Lian Li fans and not the Deep Cool ones and now I still don't know. Rats.
@hollykaye8720
@hollykaye8720 Жыл бұрын
I installed this cooler in the case. I plugged the argb for the cooler into the hub on the case. Instead of my motherboard. Since my motherboard only had one argb header which I’m using to plug in the hub that comes on the case. Otherwise the fans are plugged in to each other as per the instructions. And the pump is plugged in the motherboard AIO header. And the sata is connected to my sata cable of my psu. Oh and the last wire from the last fan is plugged into the cpu fan header on my motherboard. It stumped me for a while to be honest, since he used the other fans. But he also has a video which he links in the description where he installs the same cooler with the original fans.

@@hollykaye8720 After this comment I ended up returning the Lancool for a Montech Sky Two case. I almost hosed myself because I mounted the radiator in the top and the thickness of the rad plus fans ran into the IO shroud of my mobo and had to be really rammed down (if only it was a millimeter taller!) and when I went to hook up the wires from the LS720, the AIO pump went to the AIO header, the fans to the CPU header, but then discovered the wire that feeds the first fan of the daisy chain needed to be connected and it was in the BACK of the radiator to hide the wires. I had to blindly feel for the socket, but luckily had room to plug it in. I ended up using the provided harness to hook up to the SATA power and RGB header. (My mobo has five chassis fan and ARGB headers.) Unfortunately, I've been saddled with two defective fan hubs in the case. The first was a known issue that was supposed to be fixed before retail units went out where fans ran at 100% speed and the replacement hub was also defective in that they only run at 0% (~600 rpm) and can't speed up. Went back and forth with Montech for a few days before they concluded I somehow got a 2nd dud controller. What a drag.

I followed this guide and was extremely helpful. One thing to note with this case, and the back fan. If you choose to upgrade the 140mm to lian li uni rgb 140mm, it doesn't fit well, maybe depending on your motherboards IO shield (I'm using Asus Tuf z690-f) . I got it to work, but had to bend the metal case a mm or 2. A dremel would be handy. Edit: a side sticker fell off of one of my 120s, so maybe if you peel the sticker off the side that faces the motherboard(or both), it might work better. Those side stickers are pretty thick. I wasn't aware they could come off.

Thank you so, SO much for this video. Built my first PC tonight in this case, and following along helped me learn what I needed to. Really appreciate how thorough it is. That being said: I could NOT get the front panel off for the of me. How much force do you need to pull that panel off? That's going to be a problem down the road when the fans inevitably need replaced but for right now not worth it. EDIT: nvm finally got it. PHEW!

Great Job.. Very good guide and so very helpful I followed this for the most part for a similar build in white with same amount of the Lian Li UNI SL120 V2 combinations. The warning should have been the Lian Li UNI SL140 V2 will not fit on the rear, as I found out afterward luckily I didn't open the package and return the 140 fan back to amazon, however have to say Lian Li should have made better integration for that. If you can get with the RGB USB Module included already as a package instead of option buy later and adding the the extra USB header for connection of the module will be better value. The part of the guide which is important for the RGB is to highlight the v5 connections headers, Also I think in this day and age to have a clunky metal old fashioned hard drive cage was completely unnecessary and waste of resources , money and efficiency as this for the majority in now redundant. Anyhow great guide Chris thanks.
