What kind of financial freedom and preparation does this require? I've considered walking relatively long distances before, but always feel prohibited by having to potentially stay in hotels and eat at restaurants etc. I imagine I'd probably run out of money way before I got anywhere near my destination. Guess this has become a job for you though at this point, huh?

Yeah, you are right. What I mean by civilised country is a more democratic country, where you know at least you have a right to speak out your opinions.

Ryan Cave In my opinion, civilised country means giving its people the right to speak out their opinions, and having a strong intention to honour its people instead of taking advantage of them. I personally think these two factors if a county can accomplish, it is a civilised country even if it was poor...

Ryan Cave I am from China. So compare to China, I think western countries are all civilised countries at least they do give people the freedom to talk and have that determination to benefit people. I think even Ancient Rome was civilised country; of course I mean only in the Rome.
