I can't even imagine eating an eyeball. The thought alone makes me wince.

I’m glad that you went vegetarian. It’s hard to find a “weird” or disgusting vegetarian dish. I’d say the plate of black, jiggly fungi I was served in China was the weirdest vegetarian dish I’ve ever had. It’s been 55 years since I had my last meat - a bologna sandwich - which I guess was pretty weird.

Dear Chris, thanks for this video which made me reflect about 'unusual food'. Although being a vegetarian myself since 30 years I only realized just now that 'weird food' commonly refers to meat dishes exclusively. That was an eye-opener! But for the die hard carnivore, w.t.f. should make the difference between a beef steak, a donkey penis or a sheep's eye, apart from the difference in taste and the cultural embeddedness? Eating any part of any dead animal is consuming 'weird food' from my vegetarian point of view.

How much money did the journey cost you? Did you save before going, or did you somehow manage to make money along the way?

Question - how many different types of pen1s did you eat on your trip ? 😀

How about natto or stinky tofu (tofu that looks and smell like it went rotten), or century eggs, haha. Those could be weird vegetarian dishes.

His appearance seemed to be changed after the longest way in China. Long time ago he was a young man, now an older man, and not that skinny. And later his hair will turn to be bald hair.
