More like reckless and completely unnecessary. While also putting her classmates and teachers at risk of getting sick. Yeah I get that unless you went to a doctor, it can be difficult to get out of an important exam even while you have a fever. Going to a doctor isn’t free either. Still in this case, Christy was literally in the hospital. There is no college that wouldn’t let a person reschedule an exam if they literally were in the hospital the day of the exam. It’s not brave. God I would never support a person to step out of a hospital when they need care to take an exam. As we see the consequence was literally Christy fainting. Could have been even worse. She should have just sent an email and brought in the hospital paperwork at a later point, if not emailing it.

She'd definitely be allowed to retake the test if she didn't do well since she took it in a hospital gown and then fainted right after finishing. If there were ever an exception to the "no retakes" rule, that would be it

Not necessarily, I passed out during an exam, obviously failed it, and was not allowed to retake it causing me to fail the class.
