Allegations or not, it's so sad that you people get on social media and disrespect this man constantly because he didn't book the outcome HOW YOU wanted it. This lie that Vince was terrible the last few years is stupid. You rather focus on the negatives when Vince had some positives. Bobby became world champion. He brought Cody back to the company. Kofi was world champion. Drew was world champion. Becky was a double champion. Big E was world champion. Stone Cold wrestled for the first time in 19 yrs. Mega MMA fan here so was cautiously enthused to watch this. Gotta say, nothing with her has changed, she’s still full of herself and loves to listen to herself talk. She strikes me with a bit of a “Hulk Hogan vibe” in that there’s half or partial truths to everything but you don’t really know what to believe. I was honestly shocked at how much she was slurring her words and I don’t doubt it when she talks about her concussion and neurological issues. There's a certain irony that Ronda was actually a better professional wrestler when she didn't really know how to be one and relied on her real combat training to be believable in the ring. The more she adopted the actual professional wrestling style, the worse she became in the ring. WWE never should have tried to change her, just let her be savage and destroy the other women (and some men). Unfortunately, just like her MMA career, what most people will remember about her WWE career is how it ended, which wasn't good at all.

She was a better professional wrestler when she had 6 weeks to train for and choreograph her match. I'd argue that any reasonably athletic person with a bit of acting chops could accomplish something similar. A huge part of being a good pro wrestler is about being capable of putting on an entertaining match with anyone at any time, and she wasn't around long enough to develop that skill. THAT is what takes years and why most people toil in lower-level promotions for so long.

She’s not popular with the wrestling crowd but tbh her first run wasn’t all that bad. They could’ve played more to her strengths as opposed to exposing her weaknesses on live TV (every time she had a mic it killed the crowd) Her second run was just a mess. They done nothing to improve her and seemed to take what was bad in the first run and keep going with it. I feel like now with the press conferences and the more casual audience she would have thrived a lot better. I also feel like Ronda was more over with Triple H than Vince anyway.

I don't know about that. Ronda looked like a million bucks beating everyone but that was not going to last. The moment the fans got tired of the babyface gimmick they booed Ronda she changed just like in the UFC. I don't blame WWE, that's Ronda personality, she cannot take criticism. She always have to be propped up as number one.
@Meh572 ай бұрын
That’s where WWE went wrong in the first place. She never was a babyface or even a heel. She shouldn’t even have been a character. Her name alone carried enough weight and it was probably the name they needed to sell a woman only pay per view and wrestlemania main event (of course aided by the overall strong work of the women’s division around this time). Like Brock Lesnar she should have just been around to kick ass and make sure her losses count. For some reason Vince had her on the mic, around way too often and had her as just another member of the roster. I agree her attitude does suck and is a HUGE deterrent but you could draw similarities to Logan Paul. An extremely unlikeable individual but they play to his strengths. If you put him in a match every week it’s sink or swim. Unfortunately that happened with Ronda and she sunk

Awesome interview, Chris. I love Ronda. I genuinely feel she is extremely misunderstood. She seems very honest and real. And she is insanely talented and skilled. People love to undermine her accomplishments and pinpoint a couple of bad moves. And that's more to do with people's hypocrisy.

Agree with Dana White was spot on, Rhonda started the rise in the UFC for more women MMA fighters to where it is today! I was a big fan of Rhonda from the beginning! Not really into current WWE since the 90s of the then best of the best.

She honestly seems like a cool lady. If she returned someday with a better character (and a better attitude) I'd probably become a fan

The reason I respect Ronda is that she actually speaks her mind & isn’t afraid of the higher powers. Say what you want about her run but I think her first run was fantastic & although second run left a lot to be desired, I still enjoyed it. I hope she returns to wrestling as there are many dream matches waiting for her..

Her first run was good. She has some good matches and then the great Sasha Banks match at Rumble, but her second run was so bad that I truthfully think it has tainted her 1st run.

Apart from promos Ronda was really good in the wwe I think it’s just a trend to hate on her. She was really believable as a dominant force. I would live for her to have another run under triple h or even a go in nxt!
@thenxn6192 ай бұрын
Oh my gawd! Far more than promos was her problem. 😅 The main issue, she already had in acting was her issue in pro wrestling. She only had two emotions. Bitch-starring angry-hateful face and forced smile. Anything, she couldn't even emote. Sad? She couldn't do, til she was off camera. Possibly crying and complaining. Ecstatic? Nope. Never showed that. She was so bad with most emotions.

I think Rhonda doesn't understand that this "hate" is not necessarily bad in WWE. This would not be necessarily the "heel run." It would be a "heat" run, much like Dom. Vince probably wanted a long-term heel run. Instead, she got heat. I feel like there was crossed wires with regards to her run.

It's not a trend she's literally toxic bashed on logan paul cause he's getting pushed but was literally one of the top draws at one point

I gotta admit I enjoy her having the lady balls to speak so honestly and unapologetically. A breath of fresh air compared to the super politically correct, media trained responses. Now I'm not a fan of her character from UFC or WWE and I i rooted against her every fight she had, but as a person I don't think she's necessarily evil or out to get anyone. And knowing how her mother was so hard on her as a youth it's understandable why she is the way she is.

I'm not completely convinced that the ending of the wrestlemania match was completely accurate because lots of other people would call it in the ring and have good matches. The match was good but with the asterisk next to the ending

Ordered my copy and a poster! Chris a question for either the Gary Fencik or Doug Plank Edition of Ask CVV (I have a son named Payton) Guess my favorite team lol! I've had a life changing 24 year career in broadcasting, all of which was based on a chance to read a piece of copy for a family members business. I had no experience, just a "wicked set of pipes" according to the PD who recorded the spot, and a drive to be the best once I was given the chance. A shoutout to a mutual friend Jason LaChance (he hosts Knockin' Doorz Down Podcast now) My question "Who would you say took a chance on you to live your dream?" or "Have you ever given someone a chance to live theirs?" Thank you for what you do, for sharing your stories, your family and the time you invest to bring the podcasts and interviews to wrestling fans like me!

Weird that she knew what role she wanted to play for the fans but then get butt hurt and leave because they reacted accordingly. Not even the worst wrestlers I know of have ever turned on fans like that intentionally… Yeah idk if her return would be any more interesting to me than this podcast which is largely interesting because of you, Chris. Congrats btw!
