Hi everyone, I could tell you from experience I trained with this man John in New York City at Gracies a long time ago not only is he a really nice person and he’s really good at teaching as well maybe one of the best in grappling also, he’s one hell of a guy to talk to if you can get into his realm of conversation, you could really get a lot out of a beautiful human being

He's incredible, i took privates from him when he was purple belt through black, back when Renzos was on 37th, morning classes. First class with him, he used the word, "Circumspect"... Matt Serra said, "Palangi, better get your dictionary, that's a 10 dollar word". Best memories ever.

Two of favorite memories with John was 1) when Renzo said "you know you have arrived when the student is teaching the master" (armlock variation john found, 2008) 2) Day after i got mugged by 3 guys on 11th Ave. My friends forced me to go to class all banged up. Johns words got me out of my funk. Fortunate to have had privates with him.
