I would have thought that sealing the rings to the cylinder walls would be a major hurdle. Getting an oval to seal would be a big challenge. Getting it to maintain a seal as the piston, rings and cylinder heats up would be a nightmare.

2 STROKES RULE! NOTHING BEATS A 2 STROKE FOR PURE POWER AND SOUND. IF it wasn't for the stupid EPA, we would still have LIGHTWEIGT SUPER POWER bikes that were PURE JOY to ride, and sounded better than a F1 car.
