I had 2 of the original Deora Hot Wheels that I bought as a kid in 1968, one lime green and one purple. One or both are still here, surfboards are long gone.

In an alternate universe this is an iconic muscle car & billions of them were sold as production cars all over the world I LOVE THE DODGE DEORA❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉

I got one of those original HotWheels™ Deora models in 1968. It was *the* truck of the future, so cool, and it came with surfboards, so it was identified with the cool California surfer scene. I never knew it had the door in front, I was only seven, and likely didnt even know the Deora was a real car. Still, it was a very striking, immediately recognizable design. How very cool!

It really is. I recently saw a Cybertruck irl for the first time. It looks even more of a joke in the flesh.

The Deora rules! I'm surprised they left the Olsmobile Rocket emblem on the horn button of that cut-down Toronado steering wheel, but so cool!

Hot Wheels has a recently made a Deora II, same overall design but more rounded and bubble like. There is a real version, which I recently saw in El Segundo, California where Hot Wheels (Mattel Toys) is headquartered. There was a national contest that toured cities across America where people enter their car to be picked as a Hot Wheels toy car. They make one (a toy version of the car) for the winner of this contest every year! The tour ended in El Segundo, but we didn’t stick around to find out who won. There were some very cool cars there!

Beautiful truck, I would have used the lamborghini Diablo type scissor doors and bat wing lamborghini scoops on the sides for cooling with a nice V12 Lamborghini engine that is already set up for the rear engine, trans and axle set up.
