One of my fave metal solos of all time. Glenn and KK (especially Glenn) are very underrated guitarists.
@alexanders5627 жыл бұрын
I agree, considering how many established guitarists were being blown out of the water in the early 80's by Randy Rhoads and EVH, Glenn stepped up his game to be right on par. This solo stands with any of the greats of the genre.

Hello Sir! Though it may be 3 years later I have to say Thank you for all you do! I've played alot of these tunes back before we had you to enlighten us, and alot of it wasn't note for note! although I still may not strictly adhere to the tabs, preferring my personal interpretation, your examples and stellar playing gets me closer to the specific nuances that make any lead special. (like the diminished run!?!/sometimes the obvious escapes us.) Thank you, and may your God bless any endeavour you venture into! I Love Ya Man!!!

I just play acoustic now, no electric, but because of you, I can play the solo pratically the same but the bending...But man, it's wonderful...I have to practice yet my picking to be more precise like you....But in one week, I'm gonna succeed...What a sensation, The Hellion-Electric eye are a worship to me....Hey , it's when the last note is arriving and you taking back the riff...Oufff!!!!!!! What a sensation...I'm made of metal. my circuit gleams....

@themetalghost11 ай бұрын
Cool, so the songster one is accurate.. just they put Downing when it's TIpton lol. Gives me a couple of different ways to play it .. point of interest.. that chromatic on the G string I wasn't expecting but I'm sure Glen just ripped the thing back in the day versus "Composing" it lol

Hey Chris, what do you think of this for the final run: 7,8,10 on the low E/ 7,9,10 on both the A and the D/ then 9,10,12 on the A and again the D /9,11,12 on the G/ 10,12,13 on the B and the end with 10,12 on the high E. I appreciate your interpretations and often refer to them when I'm trying to nail solos. In the case of this solo there are a couple I'm not sure about, mostly the last run. It really seems to me the way you have it is too complicated with too many notes. I have seen Glen play it live and it seems much more compact. Do you have software to slow down the solos while learning them? Finally could you take a stab a Freewheel Burning? Again, same thing. I haven't seen a transcription or performance that seems wholly accurate and there are a couple of phrases that are difficult to hear and make out. I know there are performance on You Tube but frankly It's obvious they are faking certain parts. Also how about Ram it down? Cheers.
