My older brother had the song book Harvest by Neil Young back in 82. That's how I learned chords. From there went to dirty distortion learning AC/DC. So on and so on, all by ear. Too poor to hire a teacher and there was no U-Tube back then.

@@rediron44 there was a time back in late 70's I think it was. Kiss did an interview with I believe was Tom Snyder. He was a talk show host. You gotta pull it up, it's on KZbin. Ace had me rolling. Incredibly talented and diverse guitarist. Played with David Lee Roth, Marilyn Manson, and Rob Zombie and is currently playing with Motley Crüe. Not necessarily the most advanced music, but check out the Loudwire video where he plays a kids guitar that you might find in a Wal-Mart. He's knows his shit.
