In my last video on Chrollo, I dissected dissecting the character from the ground up, divulging the philosophy and intentions behind his mysterious actions and the core values of the Phantom Troupe. This time I’m diving deep into his qualities as a leader, and what makes him so brilliant as the mastermind and heart of the spider, using Robert Greene’s international bestseller the 48 laws of power to draw the possible principles that have been utilized by the writer to make the group as formidable as they appeared in the Yorknew City Arc. This time however we have some valuable new chapters that have just been released in the series manga that provides a detailed backstory of the group’s formation and who Chrollo was as a kid and the events that shaped him into who he is. I really loved putting this one together. Hope it’s enjoyed!

I will raise an other point. By ambandoning their humanity, they became a blind spot for humanity making them unpredictable to normal people. But in the process, they allowed humanity to become a blind spot as well. Several of their member rebelled against Chrollo's orders for emotional reasons which caught him by surprise, they were surprised by Hisoka betraying them and for what, Kurapica surprised them by devoting the rest of his life on revenge even thought the group themselves is also devoted to revenge, Gon and Killua were able to get the drop on them etc etc. In a sense, they think that they have a monopoly on things such as rage, care, empathy, pain, suffering, agony, desire, family, love and they can do what they want with the rest of humanity because unlike theme, we are not capable of such things. Like we are plants. Like when a vegan things they are not hurting a creature just because they are eating plants even though studies show that plants do hurt and even scream a low pitched sound. They think that the pain they inflict us is not as real as the pain that was inflicted on them.

Don’t often comment on videos but great video! Love the fusion of Robert Greene and HxH; linking the concepts and ideas seamlessly. Your take on ‘empathy’ for law 6 was insightful 💫

Wow! I'm just impressed by the quality of the video in content and in the way of presenting it. I'm assuming English is not your first language? How were you been able to articulate yourself in such manner? Are there a certain methods you followed to improve the way you communicate? Bc i know it's not easy to turn a set of complex ideas into articulated words and deliver them in the best way possible. Just impressed ( bc English is not my first language, and i really find it hard to word my thoughts to other people in English. Which makes me look dumb tbh)

Thank you! English technically wasn’t my first language but I grew up and went to school in the UK. In terms of advice, from reading your comment, you seem to already have a pretty good grasp of English and you communicated your thoughts pretty well. If you want to improve, I suggest to try reading all sorts of texts in English. Novels, non-fiction books, scientific journals, anything. They’ll all help you expand your understanding of language. I think writing is an extension of your thoughts. So it’s a good idea to break concepts you’re trying to communicate into small parts and seeing how you can link them in the best way to say what you’re trying to say. Since English isn’t your first language, maybe try to start thinking more in English, so you don’t have that delay when you’re sitting to write, where you’re translating from your first language to English. Every second counts. The better your thoughts flow, the better you write. Hope that helps!
