although not about Chromaphanes is it possible to add the framed keyring hole top left feature to the flat lithophane all the others are there except this one

@@madnlooney Thanks, it would have taken me a year to notice that. I'll add that capability back in. In the mean time, many slicers allow you to add a negative cylinder in to make holes and you can try that.

So Cool! I'm a big hueforge guy and this chromaphane stuff is very similar and you have some cool cools. Downloading the beta now! Came across this while looking for tutorials on making lithophane ornaments as gifts for people but the exported zip files didn't have any STL files in the folder. I'm going to download your desktop beta now and try this chromaphane stuff and lithophane as well! You are that dude! I speak for everyone here when I say you're bringing so much joy to this world through the work you're doing and just putting out there for free. You should be proud

@@LithophaneMaker I genuinely appreciated having the free option when I stated printing❤️. It brought true joy to cousins with newborns with a nightlight of their favorite bundle of joy. Now that I can pay I did get HueForge and it is awesome, and I would happily buy a paid version of your software too. Keeping a limited free version for those skimming by in the printing world would be my vote 🗳️. It is wonderful ❤. For a start I will definitely make a point of commenting and liking your videos more often 👍.

does anyone know how to add different custome filament colors? I can't seem to select what color it should be and even when I enter in the RGB values of it the color itself doesn't seem to change

You can use this to design filament paintings, and it the process is more straightforward and easier from what I know about HueForge - I've never used it.

Are you only dealing with lithophane printing or are you also printing something else

If you have a bambu with an AMS can you swap 4 colors at a time and have it use them correctly?

You can use 16 colors at a time. I think that's the maxium, requires 4 ams.

@@LithophaneMaker I see. The answer will be yes. Given that you manually switch each one after the filament got pulled back. I have tried to switch filament or add filament to AMS mid print. The machine didn't notice anything.

I am just suggesting, but for this type of flat surfaced chromaphane you can just print it in white and use a UV printer to print color on top directly... I had tried it before and it works perfectly.

Interesting. The 3D texture of the chromaphane makes it feel more like painting than a printed picture.

I had never heard of a UV printer before so I had to look it up. It looks like they start around $2,500 so not really feasible for most people
