I really hope you like this video because it was absolute hell to make! Not much for the edit itself, but our mutual friend KZbin kept giving me copyright issues (sadly it has become much more strict recently); so i had to change it, rendered it and then reupload it (8 GB worth of material) like 17/18 times...

Knew nothing about this film or the director, took a total gamble on seeing it at the London Film Festival a couple years ago based purely on it being in 3D. A cracking film. Great pairing with this song, too!

I was searching different versions of this Chromatics song after recollecting some Twin Peaks memories, and suddenly saw 汤唯(Tang Wei) dressed in green in your video thumbnail. I was like, wait, isn't that 毕赣(Bi Gan)' movie 地球最后的夜晚(Long Day's Journey into Night)? How is that related? Then I just clicked, and wow this is just incredible! It fits so well, the rhythm, the atmosphere, the mood, and even some lyrics... I'm just speechless. You've done some terrific work! This movie means a lot to me, I was mesmerized by it so much then. And I adore Tang Wei very much. Bi Gan too, he's such a respectable new comer with his previous film 路边野餐(Kaili Blues) widely praised. And the lead actor 黄觉 (Huang Jue) is quite a character in life, always interesting to see him on screen. Thanks for this wonderful video, it made my day. I gotta share it to some of my friends who are fans of Bi Gan. And may I ask your permission to upload it to Chinese streaming service just for sharing your talent?
