I sold it last year, but it held up exceptionally during the time I've owned it. And I'm certain it will carry on to be useful for few more years, as long as you don't abuse it.

Great review, answered all my questions. Moving away from an Ortleib with the velcro rolltop and I was trying to decide between a barrage or rolltop for Vancouver rain commuting.

Update: went with an earthpak backpack (amazon) - not the most attractive, but rolltop, waterproof and 55 liters and $90. My problem is putting to much stuff in it.

Great review and demonstration. My only question is about the measurements and dimensions. When I entered your dimensions into my calculator I got a volume of 36 liter! When they say 28 liter is that the minimum size, perhaps when the pack is rolled up completely?

They have different size measurements just to be conservative? This bag is huge and I know they have a smaller version for sale too. And yes I suspect it’s the rolled up dimension

It's a Catlike helmet that's made by a Spanish company, they went bankrupt last I heard, so it's no longer being manufactured :( It's designed for round head shape like for Asian population. I have this bag it's a very good hard use working bag even though on the second day of use it got dusty and dirty and I couldn't cleaning it well ?the loops on the front of the bag are for locks jackets or helmets. I use a small thick U lock it won't fit well on those loops. The zipper pocket on the top buy the roll top I use that pocket for my tools and things if I need it at the ready there they are. If I carry my cable for my lock I put it it the inner sleeve facing the outside.

It’s easy to clean with some soapy water in a bucket and a soft bristle brush! But I leave the rain and dirt as is to show how well it works 😄
