Back in 1983 when I was restoring my old 1965 Ford F-100, I had to replace the front glass as well as replaced the rear glass with a custom sliding glass window. What we used back then was just plain old Dawn dish washing soap, with a small cotton cord to slip the rubber gasket in place just like you did. And I have seen some use a black Polyurethane Glass Adhesive Sealant, with those old rubber gaskets which usually makes a mess when setting the glass in place. But I like the silicon lubricant you used better. And man that chrome plating job was just beautiful, but I think I might have just stopped with the copper coating.

I wonder if Advanced Plating does old school bluing like gun makers used to do. Those old Colt and Smith and Wesson blue revolvers were beautiful.

Look at all these old episodes, and I spotted a very young, long haired Tommy Boshers giving a hand, spotted him in Ian's old show too

Should've sealed the bottom of the boards. Leaving them exposed to the elements will rot them from the bottom up.

Epoxy is Not UV resistant. In 6 months it will go cloudy and start to lift. It has to be overcoats with a uv resistant varnish or clear coat.
