I hate the American insurance system as well as the companies that jack up prices for meds. Dr: You need this medicine! Insurance: Oh that costs a lot. You don't actually need it. Dr: I have years of schooling and medical training. I've been a dr for years. The patient really needs this med. Insurance: But that med will cost us a lot of money...so we say the patient does not need it. Patient: "At home suffering without needed meds* Insurance: *At the bank rolling in money*

Let's not forget my "favorite" part of Insurance: Are you sure they need this? Dr: Yes, it will indeed benefit them. Insurance: Okay, so like really, really? Okay..Okay we can work with this, how about you try these 3 meds first and if those don't work we'll let you have it. Dr: But those 3 never work for anyone..... Insurance: Yeah, but, picture this with me, it's less expensive for us! :D Us: -Tired and fed up- Okay, how does this work? insurance: Well, you need to try these meds for about...3-6 months each. If that one doesn't work then you try the next one, same amount of time, if not then the 3rd. Us: Okay, *Tried it for a few weeks, made you worse, and you're allergic to it and any bad thing you can think of* Well I tried but, this did (this, this, and this) to me? Insurance: Yeeahhhhh....sorry but you didn't try it for long enough, you can try the other two though, buuuuutttttttt if you can retry the 1st. Us: But what if it doesn't work again. Insurance: Well you didn't exactly give it enough of a chance to actually say it wouldn't have helped you if you kept going, sorry, kthxbyeeeeeeee.

The fact that Judd is so serious in the vid kind of confirms how bad the situation is. I'm praying all goes well for you. You've really helped change my daily outlook on life while battling severe depression, anxiety, trichotillomania and dermatillomania. I'm more hopeful and have learned to take things one day at a time, and to not blame myself if that day myself illnesses decide to win. Your positivity is super contagious, and I'm so glad to have found you and be graced by it. Wishing nothing but hope and good vibes to come your way ❤❤🐘 ¡Que Dios te bendiga! (May God bless you!)

@camismithy7888

Alicia Marie My old Doctor discharged me basically saying "there's nothing I can do to help you. Bye," and that was it. It took me 5 months of research and being at home suffering without being able to eat at all at any point, but I did find a Doctor that helped me. Although I don't have GP, otherwise I would have loved to try and help. I hope the best for you and hope you find your Doctor too. ☺️

Lionheart and King I can't eat much of anything because I throw it up. I have major diarrhea. and with both of those it's all undigested food. when I throw up it gets lodged in my throat. I can't breathe. I become distended even after eating a piece of toast. my stomach gets rock hard and when I don't even have any more food in my system...I throw up old bile. I'm extremely exhausted all the time. I pass out due to the fact that I cannot eat or am able to drink water. stuff like that.

Just found your channel. My name is Mitzi, I am 47, and been married to a loving wonderful man (like your's) for 30 years, no children only a dog. I am praying for you and hope you are well today. I have just been diagnosed with GP. In 2009, I passed out at work (I worked as social services in a high class nursing facility). Went to the hospital and they told me I had anxiety. Then it happen again, but this time I was having heart palpitations and irregular heart rhythms, but again they said I had anxiety. Now, before getting into social work, I had worked as a nursing for many year and I knew that I wasn't anxious, so I argued with the hospital doctor which later sat me up with a cardiologist. We found out with him that I had POT's, and it didn't stop there. It's been a very bump health ride for me these 8yrs, not only in regards to being misdiagnosed, but family and friends thinking that I'm faking it for attention. Can't tell you how many times I've cried and felt so all alone. Now fast forwarding to today, I take so many meds for all my illnesses, I carry a book with me everywhere I go in the misfortune that I have something happen to me, they would have all my hard copies of all my diagnoses and scans I've had and meds I'm taking, now this new diagnosis of GP, some days I wonder how much more I can take. Then I just happen to find your channel, and I knew it was God that had me listen to you, and I so know what you are talking about. In the last 5years I have been in and out of the hospital with stomach pain, vomiting, nausea, bloating, sensitivity to gluten and dairy, vomiting while sleeping and separating on my vomit, and yes I don't get hungry very often but when I do I almost hate eating because I know how bad my stomach is going to feel later. Finally a few weeks ago, my doctor ordered me the stomach emptying test, that's when it showed that I had GP. But, I just didn't know what to do, I really felt helpless and hopeless, until listening to you, I know that I'm not alone. Thank you so much. Respectfully yours-Mitzi

you are so incredibly strong jaquie. I'm so sorry your gastroparesis has gotten so bad, and I hope your doctor has a good solution. I have been in a gastroparesis flare like this for a few months and currently have an NJ (also known as TP) tube and a G tube waiting to be converted to a GJ 6 weeks out from surgery. the lack of nutrition definitely kicks up POTS and other chronic illnesses a ton. unfortunately we couldn't do enough to get me through without feeding tubes and as much as I hate it, it's what is keeping me alive. I'm not out of the woods as I'm still slowly losing weight since even my intestines can't tolerate a fast rate but I'm much better than I would have been had I not gotten a feeding tube. as much as it sucks, if you do end up getting a feeding tube just have faith that it will be another great tool to help you battle your chronic illnesses. sending you so much love, I'm here for you

Hunni I'm so sorry your Gastroparesis has been at such a bad level lately. I'm not sure if you remember but I also have it. It can be so unbearable. And people just think, ohh just eat. And it's like no it's not at all that simple. I'm thinking of you and sending healing vibes. I'm praying your GP can provide some answers for you. I like you can't take any of the limited number of oral meds that treat gastroparesis. So I can relate to your frustration. My stomach gets so bloated and feels like it's burning inside and like everything is tight and uncomfortable. Thank you for sharing your story. You made me cry that you are going through so much but also because I don't feel so alone. Thank you for continuing to spread chronic illness awareness. 😊❤️

I'm sorry there's so much red tape when it comes to insurance. I know they have to cover their expenses too but sometimes it's like "really? It's not all about money sometimes!" But of course they can't make exceptions for anyone or they wouldn't be able to help at all because they wouldn't have any money! I hope you feel better in the coming days, and like you said, something will work out!

I know what your going thru. my severe Gastroparesis is so advanced and bad. I had the pacemaker which didn't work. last week it was removed due to getting infected 3 times in last 10 months. I have the J Tube at 2250 calories a day and it barely holds me at @ 160pounds. (6ft2) I use to be 290 till this incurable disease hit me 2 years ago. they have absolutely no idea what to do for me any more. had every drug you can think of. all the ones you had plus more. so trust me friend I know all ur going thru .... bloating .. gerd. vomit 10 to 30 times a day. nausea all the time. no sleep. severe depression. you name I have it. again. they have no idea what to do for me. my local ER has a room just for me every time I have a flare up. I am here friend. and know what ur going thru. Angel.

I know you have GP, but just a thought to ask...with my autonomic neuropathy my digestion is slowed as well. I've had 9 months of heck, losing weight and unable to tolerate food. Have you had a HIDA scan to test the function of your gallbladder? Mine wasn't functioning much at all, and I had it surgically removed 2 weeks ago. I'm not cured of my digestive problems and I'm still underweight-but there have been dramatic improvements in my chronic nausea. I didn't have any stones or sludge. So my ultrasound was normal. It was the HIDA scan that spoke volumes, and then the lab biopsy after they cut it out showed it was very inflamed. Before my gallbladder surgery, my doctor ordered a feeding tube-there are several kinds from NJ to GJ to peg/mickey button. Hang in there!!

I thought I had it bad my reflux is bad where I spit acid up every other night, I really feel bad for you. When I got super sick I refused to eat because I would vomit it back up, it's a horrible gray area to be in and I just want you to keep pushing through and be strong. I can't imagine your pain push through!!

Hey Jaquie! Have you thought about buying a bag of premade frozen raw or freeze dried dog food, for Harlow, that you can keep stored for times when you don't have the strength to make it yourself? I do that for my pup and it's really handy when I don't have the energy or just completely forgot to prep meals;). Hope you get to feeling better!👍👍

I have been praying nonstop for you and am going to become a patron as soon as I get home from vacation. I wish there was more I could do. I could never possibly understand how difficult this is for you, but God does and He will always be there for you. this all must be crazy and scary for you, but try to stay strong and remember that God would never ever put you through all of this unless He had a reason❤

Thanks for realistic truth anchored in hope. I just said goodbye to my 18yr old support pet before Christmas, and it's so different, but I was so glad to see that you have Harlow; he made me smile and happy for you! I appreciate your truth of the medication catch-22 cascade dilemma and insurance companies--AND I, as you suffer ,from angioedema, along with multiple allergies (un/known), and intolerances, unexpected reactions/interactions to foods and meds--it's exhausting juggling the med dangers on top of the stomach/GI issues/conditions--and the FATIGUE of ?GP and "Sjo & Mo" (and I am a nurse, well was an active clinical practice one before chronic illnesses limited me to an education/resource consultant)! I appreciate that you have support in f& f (family & friend), in good and not so good/challenging times. I have very limited to no physical help or emotional support and live alone, and iit's so very hard, but I have hope that others will grow to appreciate the good in all moments and see/gain strength in doing what you/we must do to take care of ourselves/our health and well-being, even if our doctors think otherwise-- because we live in our bodies everyday, and yes, deep, down in our guts, pun intended-😉---intrinsically, WE KNOW (our bodies and when "something is just not right" or "something is off")! I am sorry that you were suffering in this video, and I am praying for your strength and contnued peace. 013118

I don't have GP but I do struggle with stomach ulcers which causes me to not be able to eat and barley drink fluid for a minimum of a week but more likely 2 weeks. Because of the circumstances and the fact I was was just tired of the pain and the weight loss, I decided to go with the feeding tube. And I have to say it has improved my life so much! I have been able to gain 5lbs without pain which sounds strange but to me it feels like a miracle! I hope you will find a way to control your GP but until then sending lots of puppy kisses and warm hugs from California!💙

This is what worries me about switching to raw. I have so much going on with my health and I also have two kids to care for. I just feel guilty because I feed my cat raw and I've seen such a major improvement since he started about a year ago, buts it's just easier to do with a smaller animal. When you just don't have enough spoons for all the things you want to do... I Love your channel, you've taught me so much about training our SDiT. Jaquie hope things cool down for you :(. Sending Happy thoughts your way.
